I replaced the batteries (I am typing this note from a different computer/same kind of keyboard) and reset button on the back, but I cannot "log on" as I need to type in a password...and keystrokes won't register even when I place the cursor directly to the area (NOTE: wireless mouse works fine!). -   I had the same problem! There was moister in the key pads underneath. I open it and let the main pad to dry. It parts from three layers of gelatins and the moister was among them. I hope that this will solve and your problem .

i had the same problem, i checked the batteries with a DMM and the measured 1.4v i replaced the batteries with new and i still had the same problem. anyway i ended up taking the keyboard apart and found where the antenna is connected to a push on type connector alongside the pcb board inside the keyboard, the connection was slightly corroded. i cleaned it up and it is working fine know, even with the old batteries.
Yeah, to associate the keyboard, you get to hit the reset one on the transmitter too, then the keyboard. You doublechecked the batteries and did that by now though, right?
I had a problem with the Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse 1000. the green light on the transmitter which would stay lit on F. stoped lighting up. the mouse would work but the keyboard would not.
I tried sveral times to hit the reset button on the keyboard to no avail. put new batteries in. still nothing. however i just tried it again. i hit the reset button about 6-7l times in a row and now im typing on the keyboard again. but the F light still does not light up. but the mouse and keyboard are both work now though

Microsoft's Elite Wireless keyboard and mouse is an excellent combination for use, according to your criteria. It costs less than $65.00 and is easily connected to replace a wired keyboard and mouse.
I have been using two of them for years now, and have never had a problem with them.
They eliminate excess wires, and work like a charm.

RE: Kensington PilotMouse Mini Bluetooth - Model No. 72414. The model I selected below is not my model, but my model was not listed in the choices available in the automated box. After replacing batteries (niCad rechargables) it doesn't turn on. Have had it about 2 years with no previous problems. Has not been dropped or mistreated at all in any way. Also, I don't know what the ''conn button'' does. Thanks very much!! Peter

How do I unlock a PC keyboard mouse? My baby daughter has pressed something & I can not move the keyboard mouse? I have tried the Ctrl/Alt/Del keys with no joy. When I switch user to my husbands log in I can use the keyboard mouse no problem it's just on my log in. Thanks
I have a wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0 and the keyboard works for a few seconds only after replacing the batteries or switching the PC on. The keyboard will work for a few seconds only and the battery light dies also after a few seconds. I also have a wireless laser mouse 5000 v1.0 which is working fine. I have tried the wireless desktop set on machines running XP or Vista and the same problem happens. It seems I'm not alone as others are posting the same problems but no-one has yet mentioned a suitable solution...is my keyboard just dead!?
