MS Office 2007 is officially retired according to Microsoft which encourages updating to 365, a subscription service. MS Office 2007 is typically installed from a disk as the Microsoft site does not offer it as a download. Fixya does not provide links to hacks for installation of commercial software. An alternative free product is LibreOffice or perhaps online versions of Office which may be used freely but have some inherent limitations.

As already stated, full, genuine licenced versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded.

It is, however generally possible to download Free 60 day Trial versions of some MS Office products.

Microsoft no longer offer and have withdrawn Free Downloads for MS Office 2007 Trial Products. All their efforts are now focused on marketing and support for MS Office 2010.

Microsoft often does this after a new product has been launched.

If you are determined to use MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase a licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com).

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office 2007 products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or are masquerading non-existent MS Office 2007 products as camouflague for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services.

Even if you do succeed in finding a genuine download site for MS Office 2007 products AND manage to complete a successful, uncorrupted download, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Licence for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

Download MS Office Excel 2010 60 Day Trial or MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial (which includes Excel 2010 60 Day Trial ) and install it, carefully following each step.

If you do not want to buy or cannot afford a full, licensed copy of MS Office Excel 2010 or MS Office 2010 Pro, and/or prefer to pursue the downloading option, consider the latest version of a genuine, comparable free program -

You can use Open Office simultaneously with MS Office Excel 2010 60 Day Trial or MS Office Pro 2010 60 Day Trial.

If you delete MS Office Excel 2010 60 Day Trial or MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial, well before the 60 day expirty date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and restarting before downloading and installing, it is usually possible to enter into a further 60 Day trial period.

You need to purchase the software to get it legally, and to be sure you are getting a copy that will activate and work correctly. Microsoft no longer offers Office 2007 since they want you to buy Office 2010, but you can find Office 2007 still available from other sources. Beware of vendors offering very cheap copies of the software on CD or by download, since these are almost always counterfeits which will not work. And websites which claim to offer "cracked" copies and key generators are very likely to try infecting your computer with viruses or other malware.

If you just want Office 2007 so your 2003 version can read docx format files, you can download the Office Compatibility Pack from Microsoft for free.

You might also install OpenOffice, which is a 100% free, open-source suite of Office software with all the features of Microsoft Office. Then you can have the same capabilities without spending money.

There is no way of installing Microsoft Office Word alone.
You need to install the whole package.
I dont see any reason for not installing the whole package except for a situation where you dont have enough space left on your harddisk, but I assume that this is not the problem.

Depending upon how you purchased your MS Office Publisher 2007 software, you might find the Product Key in one of the following places:

• Desktop Trial icon
• Sticker on CD case or packaging
• Microsoft Product Identifier Card
• Confirmation e-mail message (online download or renewal notice)
