If excessive red the set will detect too much current being pulled and shut down----Try to Google the model number with "parts" or if that fails try to contact PTS Electronics who repairs/rebuilds all kinds of circuit boards.

Try connecting any other device to the TV to confirm the issue.
Try resetting the TV to the factory settings. Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

pls .check your tv power cabel pin and plugg bitwin sparked or luss canaction [pls unplugged cabel pin and see tv. power cabel pin on top side black spot.]
pls try power cabel properly canact if loose replace with new.
NOTE:most of tv poblum is making power cabel loose. so canacting tv power cabel or power bord check with electrician

hello. here is something you can try , unplug the set and let it set. for about 10 mins. then plug it back and try tpo turn it on. hope this help's you. let me know "GOOD LUCK"

Pansonic 46 wide projection television


Well to me sound like it goes into protection mode, most likely it is the convergence section.
I would see if the convergence board is available sometine it is cheaper just to replace the board.
What kind of projection, LCD, CRT , LED, DLP or we talking about plasma.
