I want to upgrade windows 10 from windows7 because i dont have drivers for windonds 10 im using lumia 1520 with windows 10

You can do it online. Visit Microsoft network update site. This message itself comes you by Win-10. I did get its full update today. the only thing you have to remember is that the installed version of the Windows-7 at your computer now should be a licenced version. No pirated version can be updated.

Installed updated video driver from HP site and now getting blue screen a couple of minutes after windows xp starts up. Also cannot boot into safe mode as the menu is used for boot options.

Hi there,

Try to capture the error message and let us know.
As of now try to uninstall the drivers and restart the computer. If you still have the same issue try to download it from different site and try to use it.
May the drivers are not compatible with the operating system which you are using at the moment.

Downloaded windows automatic update stuck on 3 of 3 for last few days. tried last known good config does nothing, i always return to updating 3 of 3 cannot get my comp to do anything else. help desperately...

An issue has been identified by Microsoft that, after installing Windows Updates, a Computer displays a Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3. 0% complete message, reboots, comes back to that message again, and repeats the cycle. This problem occurs when Windows Update is attempting to install update 937287.

Follow this procedure to resolve the error:

1. Remove all connected peripheral Devices from the Computer.

2. Press and hold the power button until the Computer completely shuts down.

3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

4. Leave the Computer without any power for at least 30 seconds.

5. Reconnect the Computer to the power supply and then turn it back on.

6. Allow the Computer to start normally.

NOTE 1: Once the Computer has completely started into the Operating System, Windows Updates should automatically finish installing the update. If the update again fails to install completely, restart the Computer in Safe Mode (by tapping the F8 Kay at Start-up) and use the System Restore feature to return the Computer to a time before the issue started.

Click the Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

NOTE 2: To avoid this issue, obtain and install update 937287 from the Microsoft Download Center separately from all other updates on the Windows Update site. Install the update that applies to your version of Windows Vista so that you can successfully install future updates.

For more information about this error, refer to the Microsoft KB Article ID 949358.

I GET ON START UP I MAY BE A VICTIM OF SOFTWAREcounterfeiting

Hello,

The Problem:-When you use a non-genuine copy of Windows XP, you will find the following notification error message:-

“This copy of Windows is not genuine. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting."

To stop this annoying pop up do the following:-

If you are using XP Home, then open Task Manager and stop wgtray.exe.
If you are using XP Professional then enter into the Safe Mode and stop wgtray.exe.

Now delete the wgtray.exe from the following locations:-
i]C:\Windows\System32
ii]C:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Now do some tweaking in the registry:-
Start>Run>regedit>OK

Now naviagate to the following location:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\… NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify and delete the entire folder WgaLogon ,close the registry editor and restart the system.

After restarting scenario:-

After the restart if it again prompts to reinstall those services then:-

Start>run>msconfig>ok
Click Services tab and uncheck from there.Apply and restart.

Note: If the copy is illegal, it won't cause you any problems. You'll only have a problem when you try to download Microsoft Updates, which aren't very often anyway. So if you want to download Microsoft Update then buy a license software.

Thanks

HP Pavilion dv2000 will not load windows updates, but gives error message 8024000B

Error 8024000B is indicative of the Windows update service not able to complete. Sounds like it got stuck in the middle of an update and now doesn't know which way to go.

Boot into safe mode (F8 at startup), and log in as administrator (or under and admin account). Go into control panel, Add/Remove Programs - if the latest update that you were trying to download is listed there, select it and remove it. After removal, reboot and you should be back in business.

If not listed, go into System Restore (if enabled) and choose the restore point PRIOR to the Windows update, and restore your system that way.

Then, if you want to download it again, go for it.

Hope this helps - remember to rate!
