How do you remove the hard drive on the Sony vaio vgc-ra820g? When I pull up on mounting frame handle....it rises to certain point and then stops....I do not see anything to press and release...so that the mounting bracket can be taken out....in order to remove the screws holding the hard drive to the bracket.

drivers is allways a problem.look at your computers supportsite.or get a driverscaning program freeware or buy one.seek the internet.you find one.

The hard drive is located in the rear of the base. Remove the black plastic cover. Just look for the black screws holding it in then pull it back and up. The hard drive is held in place by four screws on the back side. Some components in this PC are for laptops however the hard drive is a standard PC size and connections.

The problem will be with Operating System, Processor over heat, or The RAM

Clean the cooling assembly and apply good heat compound on the CPU

Change other RAM and Re- load the OS.

yes i know that. its a separate graphics card the problem is in your video memory of graphics card. thats why 1long-2beepsquick. trust me.

The machine comes apart, although it is more complicated than a normal desktop. The back plastic comes off in two stages, and you will have to remove all of the small black screws around the perimeter. There is also one screw under a rubber plug/sticker in the middle. Go slow, take your time, and it does come apart. Once the plastic is off you'll have a large metal piece to remove, with HDD engraved in it and a few different size screws around it. You will have to pull the ethernet connector from its mount to remove it with its wire when you remove the large metal piece. Then the hard drive is mounted under the large metal piece in a normal drive caddy. Be careful not to damage the copper tape between the drive and the caddy. Note that it is a full size 3.5 incs SATA 7200 RPM drive. Good luck.

Remove the screws for the mount as well and take it off from there the back will just pull right up
