Question about Audio Players & Recorders

4 Answers

I have a Blaupunkt radio (car type) in my travel trailer. I also have a Blaupunkt CD player attached to it. When playing the CD player the player will not advance to the next song on the CD. I have determined that the problem is with the radio and not the CD player. What to do?

The problem I have is when playing the CD player which is wired through the radio (radio in changer mode) the CD will not automatically advance to the next song on the CD. The problem is not with the CD player itself.

The CD player and the radio have worked in concert for years and then all of a sudden the CD changer does not advance to the next song on the CD so I doubt the problem is splitting the power source. Something has happened internally in the radio portion of the unit so that the cd song will not advance. Any ideas.

    Hey Guys

The problem is solved. It was the setting on the radio that somehow had gotten entered so that the CD player continued to play the same song over and over.

I cleared the radio settings and now it works just fine. What a great service.

    Thank you so much.

How can you be certain that it is not the CD player? I tend to agree with with you about it, but it may be helpful to know how you determained that.

If the problem is in the radio, is there a menu setting that lets you play only one song and then stop? If so, you need to change that to "continue" or whatever setting would allow for continuous play.

I am sorry that I am not more familiar with this particular radio, but I do repair car audio for a living and have been doing that for the last 18 years.

Do you have the owners manual? if so, it would explain the different menu settings. If you do not have one, you need to go into the menu or settings of the radio and scroll thru it until you find the proper setting.

If the problem is not a setting in the radio, you will most likely need to take the radio in for service, and the CD player as well for them to check it together.

Without having the model numbers of both pieces of equipment, there is not much anybody can do to help you because not all Blaupunkt radios and CD players operate the same way. Some are made by Blaupunkt and some are actually made by Sony.

It is also a possibility that it may be a setting on the CD player to play just one song.

Can you advance to another song with the track forward button and it plays that song and then stops again? If so, it really does seem like a setting on either the radio or CD player that is set for playing just one track and then stop.

Let me know if this was helpful or not, and also, please list the model numbers of your equipment.

Did you check if you have not using a pre-programmed channel on the radio, or try to do a scan then play.

Do not see how to remove blaupunkt radio cd from rover 45

Demo here using the correct extractors
http://www.fitaudio.com/videos/din_keys_guide/video_din_size.html

Alternatives are 2 pieces of bent , wire coathanger or 4 x small drills(use the blunt ends) or 4 x small Allen Keys or 4 x small screwdrivers or 4 x nails or even 4 x darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips
