Xerox 7400 wont print colour

Did you load up the "Universal Printing Driver"??? it only prints monochrome on most Xerox printers...

You should use the PostScript Driver for this printer.

When I turn on my printer screen says RAM ERROR I can do? MY PRINTER MODEL IS PHASER 7400

Solution : Power OFF the Printer, Wait 10 Seconds, Then Power ON
  1. Press the power switch, located on the left side of the printer, to the OFF (O) position

  2. Make sure the printer remains powered OFF for at least 10 seconds.
  3. Press the power switch to the ON (') position.
Solution : Remove Additional RAM (Memory) CAUTION: Circuit boards and modules are electrostatic discharge (ESD)-sensitive components. These components are designed to be protected from damage due to ESD during normal operation; however, proper static control precautions should be followed to prevent damage while handling these components.
Power OFF the printer and remove any RAM DIMM that was not originally installed in the printer. After the additional memory has been removed, power ON the printer. If the printer returns to normal operation after the memory DIMM has been removed, replace the DIMM.
NOTE: Third party memory is not supported. There are no hardware or software modifications to ensure third party memory will be compatible with the printer.

Manual for RAM upgrade

Memory Upgrade for Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers, the Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers takes the PC133 SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 64 MB (non-removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers to up to a maximum of 576 MB Memory, the system has 1 socket to install Memory, already with 64 MB (non-removable) standard Memory installed.

You should be able to get crucial or the likes to send you the correct memory - as for where it goes that will be in the manual

Our xerox 8560 mdf printer shutdown when i was doing firmware update now it show only testing everything on printer and shutdown itself all the time

Most likely you will have to replace the NVRAM.
If it doesn't fully load, it most likely ruined the memory.
If you want to know how I know this, it's not from the successful upgrades I have done, I never do an upgrade without a spare NVRAM stick.
I would say its about 99 percent certain that you will have to replace the NVRAM for the machine to work properly.
Now, that being said, what you can try is removing the RAM and powering the machine up without he chips in, then reinserting them and booting it back up , Sometimes the memory will overwrite and come back up with the old version.

Greetings..I just purchased a lexmarx series 3600-4600 i have win xp sp2.. and with 254 MB I get a message installing the driver i need 512MB. Is there a driver to allow me to use this without bogging...

Hi dhunting2000,

I am afraid that you are going to have to upgrade your memory on your computer to use that printer. (There is not any slimmed down versions of the software available), I personally recommend upgrading your computer to 1G of memory to give Windows XP (and the printer software/and other applications) some breathing room for best performance. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the performance gain that you will get with 1G of ram versus 512M.

Hope that helps,

Take care,

Michael
