Hi, my computer doesnt detects the camera using the usb, my camera is new, and the first time than i make the conection, it was sussesfully, what can i do?
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

You should install the camera driver on your computer first. This way your computer will find the camera and you will be able to download the pictures from your camera to your computer. Another easier way is to buy a card reader (which is very cheap) and insert your memory card in it, plug the card reader to the USB port of your computer and download the pictures.

@keren:
That error message somehow means your USB connector wasn't plugged in properly to the camera. Another thing is that windows xp doesn't have driver for your camera that's why it wasn't recognized. what's the brand of your camera though? If you just want to transfer your pix from camera to pc or vice versa, use a card reader like the guy above me said.

Having received no response in over a month, I assume this is no longer a problem.
