Hi Todd,

Here's the owners manual; I don't think they ever produced a _repair_ manual for outside consumption. They want you to buy new hardware, not make what you've got last forever. 5-10 years, fine, but not forever.

Beyond that, there are several things that can cause the ozone (O3) production to stop.

1) Missing or damaged plasma discharge plates.
2) Safety cut-out switch not engaged by lint screen.
3) Damaged high-voltage wiring.
4) Damaged high-voltage controls or electronics.

I'd need more details to go beyond this. Let me know.

How can I extend the hose so I don't have to bend so far down when I vacuum. I am tall

You could try wearing the cleaner like a backpack...

I live in a small town and there are at least two businesses here where I could buy vacuum cleaner hose by the metre.
I have also seen purpose-made 1 metre hose extensions.

It isn't always easy but I have repaired and replaced hoses, changed ends and generally managed to use surplus and discarded hoses rather than buy new.

I suggest you approach the sort of business that supplies vacuum cleaners and washers and suchlike to other businesses rather than a high street type shop.

Good luck!

How do I put in the light bulb in a Fresh Aire model?

According to Alpine Air, if the light bulb is one that indicates how it's function operation, there is no need to replace it, if the unit is working properly. The specific model you have is over ten years old and is not repairable. At least, not by Alpine Air. Where can I find a ozone control for the XL-15? The part # is 21-80414-5, Phase-1.

i contacted Living air about this and they replied back stating that you can not buy this that you have to send the unit in for repair. Sounds like a rip-off to have to pay to ship it off just to have someone to plug in a new module that takes all but 1 minute.

I have the living air xl15 its not working properly, I cant smell ozone no buzzing sound no uv light no green led coming on. I guess the only thing working is the fan. I don't have a manual and it blows my...

I have an extra user manual for the alpine. You have to clean the plates at least once a month to get maximum performance. Get back to me at nick61@telus.net for the manual. Also the ion emitter sometimes needs to be replaced. I use one of mine in my FIR sauna. It seems to be OK at those high temps. 50*-60* C..so far.

F50 air cleaner cells inoperative

Check for any of the metal layers in the cell to be touching or too close together. These units are very expensive to repair and to be honest the best option is to find a disposable box filter that will fill the hole.

Best bet is to call EcoQuest at 1-800-989-2299 and they can direct you to the closest repair center.
There is also a way to upgrade to a newer model the FreshAir 2.1 getting $100 back for your old XL-15.
To do this go to www.healthylivingia.com or call 1-800-798-6925 and ask for Eric.

I no longer get that fresh rain scent when the unit is turned on

Have you cleaned the ozone plates recently? They require monthly cleaning in order to function well. To download the owner's manual, where it shows you how to do this, go to:<P>

Hope this helps!
