I agree, sounds fatal, but let me know the outcome. I need the hotshoe off of a broken one. My electronics are OK but the hotshoe bracket is broken on mine. Email me at barry@djbarryonline.com

I doubt it. Water damage usually is fatal, or very expensive.

if water got in the camera, you might just be out of luck. but i know one thing you might be able to try. if you can take the camera apart , so that you can see inside of the camera without breaking anything, you can take a hairdryer and try to dry out the water. make sure that the blodryer isnt set on hot because you might damage the inside of the camera.

My Nikon SB600 flash will only flash once nomatter the kind of battery.

Hello!
Please clean the contacts on the hot shoe and shoe foot, and confirm that there is communication between the camera and flash.
We are talking about a SB that works well until you put on the shoe.

Did not understand your explanation.
The flash will not turn on the display, and the ready light not lit.
Send to Nikon service.

If i aready have a sb600 .. and d3000 . ist enough to flash wireless how? i confuse

if you want to use a flash wireless / off camera, you must use a wireless trigger
It contains receiver and transmitter costs about US$ 15-20
the transmitter plugs at the hot shoe, and the receiver plug with your flash devices
the masximal effective range between transmitter and receiver 5 meters

Canon d60 - Built-in flash will not pop up

There may be something obstructing it from popping open. Inspect the flash area carefully. You could remove the battery and put it back in to see if it corrects the problem. Also, check the flash settings in the menu to make sure that the flash is set to operate. If all of those fail then take the camera in for warranty repair. If the warranty has expired and nothing else works I would suggest getting an external flash for you camera. You will be amazed how much better your photos come out using an external flash. If you go that route then I would suggest going to a camera shop or department to make sure the flash will work for you before purchasing. If you just want a small flash a little better than the built-in, get the SB400. It's only around $125. The SB600 is much better, but will cost almost twice as much (but I think it's worth it).

They work beautifully in auto, but the SB600 will reach much farther and give you less red eye. Good Luck you have a great camera!

My nikon d40x got a little wet...

Not really a solution, But my camera and I fell in a lake. I took it ALL apart and didn't touch it for four days. It turned on and worked, though I had to re-set all my settings. The only thing that doesn't work is the "trash" button, and I can live without it :) good luck!

Hi,

The camera's charge-couple device (CCD) within the camera must have suffered a short-circuit due to the sea water, rendering the imaging device damaged. As a result, the battery would drain pretty quick while its switched on.

Please take the camera to the nearest service center to have it repaired.

Thanks!
