The SIM card is for mobile broadband (wireless internet anywhere you have cellphone service). Before using Mobile Broadband, you first need to choose a mobile networkoperator (such as Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, etc.) and make sure you are in the coverage area of the network. After that, you also need:• To activate the Mobile Broadband service through your local mobile network operator. Youwill get a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card after activation.
I think your mobile locked with previous used network so that your mobile cannot able to accept any other sim card........ So that first you must get unlock from that network after that you can insert any other sim card in your mobile........ So if you need unlock code for your mobile? Simply you can visit this website http://www.prounlocking.com/sony-ericsson-w100i-spiro/rs8wp9/ and get the unlock code for your Sony Ericssion W100i mobile at cheap cost..... They provide very good service to the customers so that i suggest this website to you........... Otherwise you can contact your service provide for this kind of problem..........
Try using different SIM cards, the sim card may be defective or unregistered. If it can find a network using a different card, your SIM is no longer registering with the network correctly. Replace that SIM.
The other possibility would be a defective antenna. Replacement antennas are available online.
As you are not getting network, below are the possible causes for that, 1. Your phone is not receiving any radio signals or the received signal is too weak. Contact service provider and make sure that the network has a coverage where you are.If so try to do new search. 2. SIM card is not working properly. Insert your sim in any other mobile. If you still get the same or similar message please contact your network provider. 3. Phone is not working properly Insert your sim in any other mobile. If it works then the problem is with the mobile only. Please go to the nearest authorized dealer of your mobile make. They will rectify the problem.
Phone is not receiving any radio signal / received signal is too weak: Confirm that network coverage is available where you are by contacting your service provider.
SIM card is not working properly:
Insert your SIM card into another phone Note: Contact your service provider if you get the same message again. Phone is not working properly: Insert your SIM card into another phone. If the second phone works with the inserted SIM card, then the problem is probably with the first instrument. Note: In this case, contact your nearest Sony Ericsson service center regarding your phone problem.
Thanks for using FixYa. Please check the sim card first because it might not be making good contact to the prongs. It's not the phone causing the ‘no network coverage’ issue, it's either the sim needs to be removed and wiped off with a soft cotton material and then reinserted or it's the network having problems itself. Also try the sim card in another phone. If it works, then the problem is with the handset. If the sim doesn't work in another handset then contact your network provider to get the sim replaced. If it is still under warranty you'll need to take it back where you purchased it from to get it repaired or replaced. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
Buy a newer phone . Sorry to be the bringer of bad news !
this is just how it is with mobile phones .
I had a beautiful CDMA mobile phone that a certain network provider shut down without due warning on me and I also had a ACMTS phone that I had to also throw away for the same reason . !
