Try going to www.usa.canon.com. Search for your model on the sites search bar. If your model is found, you can activate a viewer whuch shows machines from various angles, and can be enlarged. You may be able to determine from one of the views where the roller goes. On the same site, you can contact canon technical support,. They may also be able to assist you, or recommend a service center near you.

Constantly getting paper jams

where the paper comes out there is a rubber roller that roller must be cleaned to get to that roller open the back cover then you will see the fuser cover that cover just drops down then you will see a white plastic remove that plastic by removing two screws at each side of the white plastic you do not have to open the rear part completely that white plastic sould come out if you wiggle it a bit you will have to take it out one side at a time then when that white plastic is removed you will see the rubber roller just clean that roller with benzine or alcohol. The machine gives you paperjams because that roller gets sticky over time.

I have a Brother Intellifax 4100 Fax machine. I may have pulled the paper cathrudge out to abruptly because a 3/4 spring was dislodged from somewhere - I have not identified where it belongs. As a...

best guess is it belongs under the paper lift plate in your paper tray, remove the paper tray and all the paper, there should be a metal paper lift plate in the paper tray, these are typically spring loaded to lift the paper into place. lift the plate and check the underside for the location of the spring, there is usually a retainer of some sort to hold the spring in place. once the spring is in place the tray should feed correctly.

Hope this is of some help.

Jamming paper at fuser. Paper try is pulling fine. Stops at Fuser

Open the fuser and look at the exit area. There should be little scrapers (pick off fingers). These are mostly spring loaded and rest on the upper fuser roller. If the spring or pressure level is missing or detached, the scraper /finger will hang in the paper path and catch the paper. There could be 4-6 scrapers. The main scrapers needed are the 2 ends and the middle. So if a spring is missing you could take the scraper/ finger out. **** MAKE SURE AS TO NOT SCRAPE THE FUSER ROLLER AS THIS WILL LEAVE A MARK ON EVERY COPY*****

We have a MF6550 copier and fax machine. sometimes it doesn't pick up the paper and therefor we get no faxes. Other times it will say processing memory and get stuck there until we turn off the machine...

8/10 its normally due to the Pick up Roller, There should be a arm and a Spring which allows the rollers to spring back. Turn the machine on its back and see if they are there? This will always cause it to jam and the roller will not return.

Hope this helps

Paper jams at pickup from tray

Hi Make sure the paper tray (cassette) is not missing the small separation pad with the spring. It is part of the paper cassette. the roller may be worn so cleaning it might not help. Lawrence
