When I change my bag, the change bag light stays on

After I change the bag, (which isn't full, by the way, even though the change bag light comes on), the machine still won't run.  I recently vacuumed some very fine dust; I know this sometimes causes the machine to think the bag is full.  But that was two bags ago, and I'm still not able to run the vacuum at all.  Thinking of taking the vacuum to a dealer tomorrow.  I hope someone can help before that.  Thanks.

There are a couple situations to this issue. one is the bag that was replaced is a incorrect one and it is not meeting the switch for the bag pop circuit. some over the counter bags cause this issue. another problem could be the switch itself. or the bag door not being tight enoug to make contact with the bag.

How do you replace the 'after filter' in the electrolux guardian?

1. Press latch and open the door that covers the tools.
2. Squeeze clips at front of tool tray, lift and remove.
3. Remove filter.
4 Replace filter.
5. Replace tool tray and close door..

Instructions can be found in the Renaissance manual, which you can download from the following site. Go to "older models", find Renaissance and click on it, then click "download". Instructions are on page 9. The Renaissance is basically the same model as the Guardian.

LUX RENAISSANCE WONT TURN ON. HOSE CONTROL BAG LIGHT IS ON

Could be the board in the handle but I found that a lot of the times the contacts where the handle meets the hose just need to be cleaned. It could also be a clogged hose but I'd say it's one of the other two.

Renaissance C104A does not turn on. I plugged it in and it does not work.

The Renny is a hard machine to diagnose. You could have a broken wire in the cord or in the hose. There is a fuse wire located inside the canister that could be bad. Also, the handle circuit board could be bad or the triac (another circuit board) located inside the canister could be bad. There is no use for you to open the machine. You could do more damage than good.

Electrolux Canister - Renaissance model

Probably a clog, because the change bag light is nothing but an airflow sensor.

Check your hoses to ensure that there are no blockages, and also check inside the powerhead behind the brushroll.

RENAISSANCE HOSE/VAC

THE RENAISSANCE IS KNOWN FOR HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CIRCUIT BOARD IN THE HANDLE.YOU'LL NOTICE THAT MODELS THAT CAME AFTER THAT HAD SLIDING SWITCHES. UNFORTUNATELY THE NEW HOSE DESIGN WON'T WORK ON YOUR MACHINE BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT BOARD INSIDE THE MACHINE WAS CHANGED TOO.AERUS MAY OR MAY NOT STILL MAKE THE PARTS YOU NEED. OTHER WISE LOOK ON E-BAY FOR A NEW HOSE.
ELECTROLUX FOOLISHLY REPLACED IT'S FLAGSHIP STEEL MACHINE WITH THIS DESIGN...A FEW YEARS LATER ALL THEY HAD WORTH SELLING WAS THEIR NAME, HENCE THE NEW NAME AERUS.

If the wires power a motor then it shouldn't actually matter as the motor is AC which has no polarity.
