It sounds as if the signal to trigger the "cyan" is not working. this is usually due to one of the contacts on the front of the cartridge not connecting properly or is dirty. Check that they are all clean and in there correct positions inside the printer. If this fails a service tech will have to look at it to find where the break is. Regards GM

Hi, I am having a problem with my relatively new canon ip100. Since I installed new cartridge for black ink, when I run the test of nozzle it shows that black print head needs cleaning: missing parts lines...

Welcome to FixYa!

Here are my suggestions:

Confirm that the Ink Tank is installed properly.
If the ink tanks are not loaked into place, the will not be supplied to the print head.
Remove tape from the
The ink tank requires air to flow through it so ink can move from the reservoir to the print heads.
Confirm there is no orange tape across the top of the ink tank.

Try to use other Black Ink Cartridge. The cartridge might be defective.

I hope this helps.

Epson PM240 Photo printer HAS WRONG COLORS

Hi

You should try to use a different cartridge to see if it is the cartridge or the printer itself.

Also, make sure that all of the colors are coming out of the cartridge. You can touch a moistened kleenex to the head to check this.

you should also try a deep clean.

1. Right-click the printer icon, and then select 'Properties'.

2. Click the 'Maintenance' tab, and then click 'Deep Cleaning'.

3. Select 'All Colors', 'Black' or 'Color' for the print head to be cleaned.

4. Read the message displayed, and then click 'OK'. The power lamp blinks and print head deep cleaning starts. (Do not perform any other operations until print head deep cleaning is complete. Print head deep cleaning takes about 1 minute.)

Please let me know how all of this goes and we can try further things if this is still a problem.

Thanks

Scanned pictures are printing with different colors

Are the ink cartridges refilled or compatible? They may be defective.
Are they installed correctly (not in the wrong slots)?
** Note that even if they are replaced it will take SEVERAL pages before the quality returns

Canon Pixma IP3500 prints B&W with white streaks

as i can suggest you that it can be the problem of head clogged internally where you insert your black cartridge .and the other main cause is while you give a head cleaning command to get the cartridge cleaned it sucks or pulls  the ink from the cartridge in such a huge quantity that 3-4 cleanings make the cartridge totally empty .due to this the ink gets very low and the printouts come with streaks.many a times setting the print mode in best makes the copy perfect.but the printing gets too slow in that best mode.

Only prints black & blue

I have a similar problem - i can print all colours apart from red.
I've tried cleaning, deep-cleaning, and even bottom plate cleaning but of none if this improves anything.

Tried cleaning the print heads and nozzles with cotton buds, but this dont do anything. Even tried re-seating the cartridges but this does nothing either

My magenta will not print well

Here's what you should do. Remove all ink cartridges. Get some rubbing alcohol, preferrably 91% proof (leaves less moisture) Get a couple normal paper towels. Check each cartridge for dried ink and remove it using an alcohol wetted paper towel. (The deep cleaning procedures aren't always effective.) The gold contacts on each cartridge should be gold when you are done. Use the same procedure on the gold contacts of the ink cartridge housing inside the printer. Take your time, do it well. If that does not fix the problem, then do the following. Switch the black and magenta cartridge. Some printers won't print when you do this, other printers don't know the difference. If your printer is the later, then attempt a print job using a page that has a line of both black and magenta text. If you see a black print, then the problem is your magenta cartridge (despite having installed a new one) If the magenta prints, then you know the magenta cartridge is good. If the magenta prints but the black doesn't, then you have a printer failure. Let me know your results. ZT3000 Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"
