My camera worked fine yesterday at the beach! Took great pictures, and i know that i didn't drop the camera or get it wet! This morning I went to turn it on and it made funny noises and the lens would keep going in and out. My camera also is out of focus. I son't want my husband to think that I did something wrong to this camera. Please if there is something I can do to fix this problem let me know ASAP!

The FE-280 will not deface your photos by scrawling digits across them. However, the data is stored with each file. Just about any photo viewer should be able to show you this data. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. If you print directly from the camera, the instructions are in the "Printing pictures" section of the Advanced Manual (page 29 in my copy).
Have you made any changes to the settings? Check the ISO, picture quality (should be at highest setting), white balance, etc. You could also go into the setup menu and find the "reset" entry to reset back to default factory settings.
