Radio was removed from my 91 Seville and replaced with aftermarket CD player radio. I would like to use this radio in my shop. I have 12 DC supply and speakers and antenna. Note: There is no place to plug an antenna in this radio. One plug has 9 wires, the other has 7 wires. Plug one = Orange Gray Yellow Red White 9 TOTAL Blue Light Blue Brown White Plug two = Black Blue/Black Tracer Red 7 TOTAL Green Purple Orange White/Black Tracer The Red, White, and Blue wires in Plug one are heavier wire. The Blue goes to a shield for the Red and White wires. All other wires are same size. Thank You for any help with this. Roger

I think this is one of those times you have to go the dealer as the car's VIN number has to match the one in the radio for it to work. Sorry about that.

You can go to best buy or a stereo shop they have wiring harnesses and fit kits for aftermarket CD player the wiring harness plugs into the stock wiring harness the u have to match the wires to the cd play

To reprogram the radio there is 4 digit code. That code has to be inserted, once these code is inserted, your car radio will get into its actual setting where you can set/select your radio setting.

Many a time's radio asks for the code after car battery is disconnected.

On some cases to retrieve the code its mentioned in manual or else car dealer is other option to get car radio code.

It can be dirty or faulty disk,but if that's not the case the problem relates to cd player lens.Its not reading the disk.The inside lens which reads and detects the cd is either got dirty or its faulty and unit has to be replaced.-------So whether is dirty lens or faulty that can be confirmed once the unit is inspected.Try running lens cleaning cd in your cd player unit and see if that is helping.========For more help i suggest refer the help links mentioned below:------

is it a factory radio??? if it aftermarket radio could be loose conection on one of wires but sounds more like the radio has a short inside the radio it self you probley have to replace the radio

most aftermarket radios red wire has 12 volts when the ignition switch is on and yellow (memory) has 12 volts all of the time

you just lift the bezel around the shifter then pull the bezel from around the radio the only screws are the 4 that hold the radio to the dash... you can buy an adapter kit so the replacement aftermarket radio will fit great in the opening if you were going to use aftermarket radio... you can get your fixed or exchanged by a company called united radio in ny

Take your car to an accessory shop and they would neatly remove the radio without damaging the orignal cables. You would also get the new pins installed to the original car wires which can fit your after market system

To use supply the radio with 12 volts you would have to use a power supply such as an Astron which can be purchased at Ham Radio Outlet and other ham radio shops, you can get their number on the internet. The 110 AC to 12 volt DC is not the problem..it requires the amperage to make the radiois work.... You can use a 12 volt battery and use it for a maybe an hour without charging....the radio will not work with a car battery charger... Hope this helps
