RCA plugs Since there are no RCA connectors on this TV, is there any way to use DVD players/ video games on it? What kinds of adapters would I need, since the only plug is for antenna/cable?

Trying to connect a DVD player to a TV that is only equipped with a cable jack what do I do

You need an A/V to RF adapter to convert the audio and video outputs of the DVD player to RF so that you can watch the DVD player on an available VHF channel on the TV. See this device offered by Amazon:
RF Modulator TV Switch Audio Video RCA Ant Input to Type Coax Output...
You may also need a short 75 ohm length of coaxial cable with "F" type connectors on both ends and A/V cables with RCA plugs to complete the setup.

Rca j25420 (Older device)

Basic DVD player connections consist of three wires: Right audio (red), left audio (white), and video (yellow). These plug into corresponding connections on the rear of the TV. Your RCA TV may be so old it does not have these input connectors on the rear. Tne "game channel" you are attempting to find does not exist.

RCA DRC247N DVD Player No Audio

The separate DVD player has three output cables: video (yellow), right audio (red) and left audio (white?). These connect to the corresponding inputs on the TV. If your cable box also has three similar output cables, you probably do not have a second set of inputs on the TV so what to do? You can purchase three Y adapters that combine two female RCA connectors into one RCA plug and plug everything into your one set of connectors on the TV. However, if your cable box output connects directly to the TV antenna input, the solution is simpler. Post a comment if this approach is not going to work

What do i need to play back recorded video onto my t.v from my sony handycam dcr-trv260...i have s cord, usb cord, yellow rca jack??? so what else do i need!!!...nothing i have tried has worked???please...

You can connect this camera to a suitable TV with either the S-Video lead or the RCA lead, but only if the TV is equipped with the appropriate inputs. The S-Video lead looks like a tiny DIN plug, and the RCA jacks are three separate plugs coloured red, white and yellow (yellow is composite video, red and white are left and right stereo sound). If you use S-Video you will also need to make a separate connection for sound (using the red and white RCA connectors). Sometimes the TV sound input is a mini stereo jack, and you will need a Y connector to adapt the two RCA connectors to the mini jack, or maybe the camera's sound output is also by mini jack, in which case you may need the reverse Y connector. Most TVs have some way of accepting a video signal, but you may already be using it for a DVD player or the like.

If your TV lacks these connections, you may be able to use an adapter. In the UK, most recent TVs have a SCART (Peritel) socket, which takes a big plug with 21 connections on it. You can get an adapter to fit that socket that will allow you to plug in the RCA connectors and maybe the S-video too. I don't know what country you are in, or what adapters are available in your country if it isn't the UK.

Once you have made the connections, you must select the appropriate input on your TV. The other possible hiccup is setting the camera to the right video standard, NTSC or PAL., to match that used by your TV.

The USB cord will not connect your camera to the TV.

How can I connect my dvd player to a Philips 32PFL5605H/05 32-inch Widescreen Full HD LED TV ? It is of the type which has one red, one yellow, and one white connector but i do not see any sockets that...

The included cable with the red, yellow and white RCA connectors is a composite A/V cable. To connect this cable to the TV, you need a SCART-cinch adapter. Then use one of the SCART connections on the TV. Note: the SCART connection does not handle HD signal.

You will get a much better picture if you buy a different cable. Depending on your DVD player, get either an HDMI cable or a pair of cables - a component video and audio cable. (Both component and the audio cable will have RCA plugs at each end. The component video has 3 plugs - red, blue and green. The audio will have 2 plugs - white and red.) Both of these will carry HD signals. Most DVD players will have at least component video and composite video jacks; some have the HDMI output. Most DVD/VCR combinations will need the composite video for the VCR and the component video is optional for the DVD signal.

I hope this helps.

Sega genesis has a proprietary plug which goes to a standard RCA Style cable. They go for about $9 on eBay.

Or you can get one from Amazon here.

Have an RCA F27636BC TV. Can u hook a DVD player

How to hookup TV

If you have a TV with only a single coax input and you want to hook up components like DVD players and VCRs, here's how to do it.

What you need to connect your DVD player or game players to a TV that only has a VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector ("coax antenna input").

1.) RF Modulator with Stereo Audio Inputs.

2.) 6 foot long coaxial cable with male "F" connectors. This cable goes from the modulator to the TV. The modulator also has a coaxial input to plug in your antenna or your VCR.

3.) 6 foot long Video and Audio Cables with "RCA" plugs. The cables connect the yellow, red and white outputs from your DVD or game player to the yellow, red and white inputs of the modulator.

Works with X-Box, PlayStation, Nintendo or other devices that output audio/video via the RCA plugs and you want to connect them to your coaxial only TV.

What is an a/v adaptor

A/V Adaptor stands for Audio Video Adapter. Typically with the game system you will have jacks that are RCA plugs (Yellow for Video and Red & White for Audio) that will plug into the side of a TV or VCR as long as you have the right type of plug you should be able to plug it in and use it for sound and video. The main thing is that you will need to have a source of power for the video game. the RCA plugs will not provide power.

Can I Connect somehow an Ipod to my DDX7015?

You can connect your ipod to the DDX7015. It has a set of female (if I remember correctly) A/V inputs on the back. Youll need a stereo male RCA to male 1/8" adapter from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart. It will have a set of the red/white or red/black male RCA jacks on one end and the male headphone style jack to plug into your iPod on the other. Just set the Kenwood to the correct input and your on your way. I used the input on the back to hook up one of those 5 in 1 Ms. Pac Man joysticks to the unit so my wife can play video games when we're on road trips...very nerdy, but very cool.

Hooking up a DVD player to a Quasar TV/VCR Combo

Hi,

Yes, for a workaround. The adapter would be 2 RCA female to 1 RCA male. You have to connect both the red and white to the female RCAs and use the male to connect to the TV's Audio INput. The yellow goes to the video. There should be no negative technical effect other than lost of stereo quality. The audio output of the DVD is line level and could normally tolerate this condition.

The correct method is to use a simple line level audio mixer and mix the L& R audio signal to produce a mono signal or to use a stereo amplifier for the sound output.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
