The unit is shot there is no hope for it. i have seen this problem many times in boats and never been able to fix the problem. i have had customers send the unit back to jensen and received a new one but check and see if your 1 yr guarantee is still good.

Need to know what order to hook up red, yellow, and black wire which to positive which to neg and what size inline fuse is needed for my mcd 5080

Red- power Yellow-Memory Black-Ground

Unless the yellow wire has a fuse built into it then....
Yellow- Power Red-Acc/Ign Black- Ground

If the fuse you are asking about is on the radio t s usually a 10 or 15 amp fuse but if you mean for the power wire for a amp then it depends on the power amount of the amp....look on the amp and find the sum of the fuses on the amp and use a inline fuse that is the next fuse size sum...
Ex. 2 40 watt fuses on the amp then 40+40=80 watts so you would want to get a 100 watt fuse. Also remember you can never go to big for your inline fuse with a amp

Face plate wont light up but it will play cd

Remove the face plate- you have not mentioned the make/model. Now use a brush to clean the contacts of the face plate and the head unit. If you notice any dirt use some methyl spirit to clean.
If possible measure the voltage at the terminals- also for more probe the unit must be removed and the voltage traced as this can be failure of the display unit, the display unit driver/.processor.

Here is where to get a replacement waterproof remote - With these marine radios the faceplate is usually the first thing to fail from water damage. Not that your is water damaged but because of this finding a used one is impossible on the net. You will have to contact Jensen for to see if they have the faceplate available separately. Good luck.

I have a Jensen VM9312 and got it installed in my 2006 Yukon and I'm having problems ejecting CDs or DVDs. I had my stereo in my Dodge Charger and it worked fine. Both cars I had it installed...

I've had the trim ring that goes around the face plate make CDs not eject before, try removing this trim ring and see if the problem is solved. If it is not, I'd suggest contacting your installer, although you may have a problem with the deck now.

Radio is stuck on the FM3 channel, volume doesn't work, tuner doesn't work, pressing any other button causes NO DISC message to flash and radio to turn off -2009 corolla

Does Front Plate remove from Radio? If so Pop face plate and look for small pin hole that a paper clip could fit in. This is reset for Unit. Otherwise disconnect car battery for a couple minutes. I had similar issue with a JVC unit, It needs to be hit over its head to wake up.

My radio dont want to play the cd but i could only get the radio station and i try on hitting eject and dont do nothing

sometimes ejecting the face plate, if possible, is necessary now and then to realign the electrical contacts.

there should be a button to eject the faceplate (on most aftermarket stereos) eject, reinstall, try again.

Hello george_nutti,

The model number you posted is for a center channel speaker which has no controls, and not knowing the exact model number it's difficult to be specific.

Some Kenwood KDC models allow you to select one of 3 "tuning modes", 1) AUTO1 - Automatic search for stations; 2) AUTO2 - Search Preset stations; 3) MANUAL - Normal manual tuning control. If your Kenwood is one of these models, you need to set the tuning mode to MANUAL. For Kenwood Excelon HD receivers, direct access tuning is done by using the included remote. 1) Press DIRECT button on the remote; 2) Press number buttons to enter desired channel number; 3) Press DIRECT button again to exit direct tuning.

Hope this helps.

I have a Jensen A222HX amplifier. I want to hook a subwolder to it. How do I bridge the connection

Hello rcell66,

The Jensen A222Hx is an "old school" amp and the channels are probably not bridgeable. I'd recommend posting and/or researching your question on one of the "Car Audio" forums. Many of the members are old school trained and may even be able to locate a manual for Jensen's.

Hope this helps.

Dont know how to wire a subwoofer

The Jensen XS1010 is a 4-ohm sub and should work properly off of the outputs of most any single channel monoblock sub amp or off a bridged 2-channel. You did not say what brand or type of amp you intend to use, but in any case, there's only 2 wires to connect to the sub, one positive (+) , the other negative (-). Simply match them up with the positive and negative on the amp speaker output and you are ready to bump.

Here's the link to Jensen's website:

I'd recommend downloading the XS1010 manual. They recommend an enclosure with at least .75 CuFt internal volume.

If this helps, please rate it as "FixYa". Thanks!
