I disassembled an aquascape SFA 3000 pump to find that one of the bearings has failed. therefore, I need two new bearings 6202 series and a seal kit to restore the unit. Would also like to know if the O rings for the motor casing would be part of the kit?

normally the reason it will not turn is because the bearing for the motor has had water in it from a failed impeller seal and has rusted up
If that is the case then it will need new bearings in the motor , a seal kit that is if the motor is still operational

some pumps can be fixed if, disassembled properly in the first place. and last for many years. soo that said, search your area for your local electric motor repair shop with free testing, bring it in and see if they might have a used impeller, new shaft seal and the bearings, to get you up and running again. REMEMBER TO PRIME THE PUMP AFTER THE REPAIR ! most all pumps need water in them to work

The seal has failed allowing water into the sealed motor unit and it is now shorted to ground...in other words the unit is shot and needs to be replaced.

They are made overseas and there are NO parts available to replace anything damaged inside your unit. Unfortunately your choices are a new unit from Aquascape or a new unit from another manufacturer. In our experience none of the units are 'great' for durability but aquascape lasts as long as any others, some others are worse.

Your pump shaft seal is leaking and has flushed the grease out of the bearings. Any reputable spa or pool company should be able to replace the bearings and the seal kit for far less than the cost of a new pump. Approx $150.00 to re and re bearings and seal kit.

I did mine 2 years ago and still working like a champ and have done over 20 locally with no problems. If your pump is noisy or the impeller has fallen off (typical) due to water getting in the unit and causing the bearings to fail email me and I can rebuild your pump. The process is simple send me the pump I will look at it and see if it can be rebuilt at NO CHARGE if it can be rebuilt you will save over 60% of a new one. Don't spend $349 - $599 on a new one let me look at it for free if I can rebuild it great if not you will have to buy a new one. I am not a dealer for any pumps so you will not have to worry about me selling you a pump and if you want the old one back pay the shipping and it it all yours.

Bad pumps, bad brand.

The Spotlight kit should still be under warranty for at least a year through the manufacturer. Check your manual and contact the manufacturer. The problem might be the seal which is allowing water in and therefore it needs to be replaced
