Stereo/Mono Fluctuation Screen Display Problem

About once every 5-10 minutes my Sharp LC-42D64U will flash a blue box in the top right hand portion of the screen showing that it is switching between stereo and mono sound settings.

While the sound switch is barely noticable, the blue box constantly poping up in the top right is incredibly annoying.

help please!

Same problem on the 32" model. Considering using an external cable tuner to avoid this.

we have the same issue with the sharp 46". Called support and was told our cable power needs a booster. Called cable, they installed a booster, problem persists. Interesting this does not occur when watching a dvd. Still have 70 days to return set and exchange for something else.

I have an older 32" Magnavox that has this exact problem.  We lost the remote and can't even get to a menu screen to figure it out.  We beg of you to find a solution.

I had the same problem.

All I did was unplug the standard cable wire from my tv and used RCA cables to connect my TV to my digital cable box the the Input 1 jack in the back. It also increased the video quality.

I have Sharp TV Model LC-42D64U sound cuts out after two hours or less. Sound only comes back after leaving TV off for about an hour.

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. My new sharp LC-52D65U tv continuously gives the sound display on the top right hand corner when it switches from mono to stereo etc. It dosn't do this all the time but for a while it will start again.

Make sure it isn't the source causing the problem. I.E. Cable box, dvd player, xbox or ps3. Try switching the wires. If all else fails, replace the main board.

My Sharp Flat Panel Television LC19SB25U has Picture but No Audio

Sharp has had a few problems with their audio boards, not finding any bulletins on this model, but a few complaining about low audio on amazon reviews section. If using an antenna you will experience some channels with low audio. If using cable you should get good sound on all channels..
the 9.1 and 9.2 are digital channels and sharp does display them for at least a few seconds when you switch to that channel. Check all your setting in the audio to Stereo never SAP. To options for you are get a cable box, first check in the back and see if there is another coax in, if there are two try both rescanning after connecting.

I just bought a Sharp Aquos LC-32D64U and a Box in the upper right hand corner keeps popping up "Air Analog Ch. 3 Audio Mono/Stereo." The audio keeps flashes either mono or stereo and it does...

The following pretains to most TV models:

Check to see if there is a key on the remote that is called "Display". This is normaly used to display the TV's operation status. Press it and see if you can work your way through different modes of the display content for the screen.

If you cannot make the statis dissapear, it is possible that there is a fault in the incoming signal and the TV is indicating this error, or it is possible that there is an actual defect in the set. At this point, I would contact the dealer. If you don't get a satisfactory answer, then you should contact Sharp service directly.

With retail dealers in many states and countries if you are dissatisfied with the set, you should be able to exchange the TV set in a specific period of time depending on the local laws that deal with consumer sales.

Green box keeps popping up in upper right corner

You should be watching your dvd's on an input and not on tv analog 3. Every time the tv "senses" a signal change in the audio that screen will pop up. Connect the DVD player to the tv by using either the red, white and yellow (composite) connections or using the green, blue, red, white and red (component). Once you are on an actual input that box will stop popping up.
