The large burner is not working even after I replaced the infinite switch and element. I have a roper electric stove model #fep310kw. I am determined to do it myself.

Frigidaire stove front large/small burner combination. Large burner works but the small burner in the centre of the large burner does not come on at all with any heat. ??

This is a inner/outer burner type assembly? Sounds like a glass top.
Either way, your switch for that burner or the burner needs to be replaced.
If you are able and it is possible, inter change switches to see if it makes a difference. Interchange Large with large, small with small.
If yous switches are connected as one unit, you will not be able to do this. Sorry, I have not looked up your wiring diagram.

Which element is it? Try to switch the infinite switch from another element. This will tell you if it is the element or the switch problem.

Kitchenaid electric stove burner stays on high

The dials you mentioned are called infinite switches and if they control, or regulate should i say the amount of power applied to the burner, so those are the parts you need to replace. You can order online or go to a local appliance parts store, just make sure you take your model number with you, not the number in your owners manual but the model off the machine itself.

I have a Roper kitchen electric stove Model #FEP310GWO, The surface heating light doesn't go off when the elements are turned off.

The constant indicator light indicates that it is shorted somewhere; perhaps welded contacts in one of the switches. Possibly a bad infinite switch for that burner, or an uninsulated wire making ground contact. Some electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter will have to be performed to find where the short is. If you have any further questions message me back. Please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Kenmore glass top range left front large burner out

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.

Kenmore electric stove model c880.6383880 left front burner does not work....it is not the element itself as it heats up on another burner.

hi,

sounds like you have the old-style coil elements on you stove.

your problem is the switch under the element, called the infinite switch. i would suggest to have a technician replace it. they usually charge for the labour but if you have never done it before, it's money well spent.
