Frigidaire stove front large/small burner combination. Large burner works but the small burner in the centre of the large burner does not come on at all with any heat. ??

This is a inner/outer burner type assembly? Sounds like a glass top.
Either way, your switch for that burner or the burner needs to be replaced.
If you are able and it is possible, inter change switches to see if it makes a difference. Interchange Large with large, small with small.
If yous switches are connected as one unit, you will not be able to do this. Sorry, I have not looked up your wiring diagram.

Which element is it? Try to switch the infinite switch from another element. This will tell you if it is the element or the switch problem.

Kitchenaid electric stove burner stays on high

The dials you mentioned are called infinite switches and if they control, or regulate should i say the amount of power applied to the burner, so those are the parts you need to replace. You can order online or go to a local appliance parts store, just make sure you take your model number with you, not the number in your owners manual but the model off the machine itself.

Hello. We have a Whirlpool Accubake range and we heard a pop and saw a spark under one of our 8" burners. What ever happened tripped the circut. After resetting the circut, the rest of the oven and...

I had a problem with my Whirlpool range. It would not regulate temperature properly on the two large 8" burners. I found the problem was the "infinite switch". The infinite switch regulates temperature of the electric stove elements.

I found this video (see youtube link below) informative and it solved my problem. I found the correct infinite switch on Amazon (my infinite switch was this $21.00 one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XLEJ7M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The fix to replace 2 infinite switches (both 8" burner switches) took me 1 hour, including cleaning the floor under the stove (nasty!). All was well afterward.

I have a Roper kitchen electric stove Model #FEP310GWO, The surface heating light doesn't go off when the elements are turned off.

The constant indicator light indicates that it is shorted somewhere; perhaps welded contacts in one of the switches. Possibly a bad infinite switch for that burner, or an uninsulated wire making ground contact. Some electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter will have to be performed to find where the short is. If you have any further questions message me back. Please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Tony, this sounds like you may need to have a new burner switch installed, it is called an infinite switch. If it is for the dual burner, make sure you tell the appliance parts store this so they can order you a dual infinite switch.

My electric stove top burner only works on high

This is for the glass top units. well i'm not sure if your problem is with your large or small single burner or the large expandable burner. If it's the large or small single burner replace the burner and if it the expandable also replace the burner. If you have a coil burner replace the infinite switch. Good luck hope this helps you.

Kenmore electric stove model c880.6383880 left front burner does not work....it is not the element itself as it heats up on another burner.

hi,

sounds like you have the old-style coil elements on you stove.

your problem is the switch under the element, called the infinite switch. i would suggest to have a technician replace it. they usually charge for the labour but if you have never done it before, it's money well spent.
