Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

1 Answer

My friend bought a MP3 player from target (TRUTECH) and her friend downlaoded some songs. She had it plagged into her computer and just unplugged it and did not Safely Remove Hardware. Nothing will sound. The button don't even really work...like the volume, or to turn it off. I tried to reload some songs cause nothing would play and it said that it already contained the files...(Would you like to replace existing file(s))? please help me.

Look for a small hole (hopefully not the microphone) and see if you can't strike a reset button of some sort.

Performing what's called a soft or hard reset on the devive will probably clear all the songs in memory.

Depending on the make/model, it may be as simple as an index file that was created making it think the songs are still on it, even though the files themselves have been removed.

Good luck

How do I delete songs off of my mp3 player in a mass quanity?

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,
right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Trutech MP3 player issue...

I had copied the songs into the voice folder on the drive. We moved them to be new folders along with the voice folder and it works fine. I just hope it lasts longer than some other peoples. I should have read up on this brand before I bought it.

Thanks for checking on me!

How do you download music to the trutech

Make sure your music is in MP3 format on your computer. Plug your player in with the USB cable it comes with. Open the drive for your player. Mine is found in my computer as it's own drive like the c drive. Simply open your music and drag and drop your songs into the player drive. Don't make the mistake I did by placing them into the voice folder that comes on your player. Just put them along side it. Very simple. Let us know if this works for you! Good luck!

Won't Work suddenly.

What is happening when you turn the device on? Does it go on and then shut off? If so you will have to reformat the drive for the mp3 player. Simply plug the mp3 player in and click the drive that appears for the player. It should say this device needs to be formatted. Then just follow the steps. Keep in mind you will lost your songs. If the device stays on, do you see your first song on the list. If you do, try pushing the play button, (very last one on bottom) hard.
