The only way I'm aware of to do any form of "Hard reset" with these phones is via their website, follow these instructions.
On your computer, go to palm.com/support Enter your Palm profile email address and password. Click Wipe Device to remotely reset your phone. Afterr the full erase, turn on your phone and sign in to your existing Palm profile-do not create a new profile! Any data that has been backed up to your profile, including third-party applications, is restored to your phone. Information from online accounts you synchronize with-such as Google or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync-is restored to your phone also.
The Palm Pixi uses CDMA on Sprints Network rather than GSM. CDMA phones do not have a SIM card in them.
To switch numbers on the phone, you would have to call sprint and have them activate it.

No, you cannot unlock the Palm Pixi Plus and put it on a plan that is not compatible with a smartphone. If you want to continue to use Verizon service, you will have to purchase a phone that is compatible with your current plan, or change to a different plan that will work with your Pixi Plus.
