I have a Hitachi p50v701 50" plama tv. Recently

I know it Sounds silly I also have a Hitachi TV and got issues with HDMI, I unplugged from wall for 15mins and turn it back, then I tried my PS3 and worked.

If not there is a firmware update on the website however it needs to be uploaded by a "technician" via USB drive mine has a USB port but there is no update for mine.

Let me know if it works

okay so it doesn't need a remote control.............. The AVC08U should register immediately with the tv, the box itself has a bad HDMI out.

Dark picture on my Philips 50" DLP HDTV

You will need to replace the lamp. That is the only thing that will cause the picture on a DLP to go dark. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks....

TV Exploded

Sounds like the DLP lamp failed. You can decipher the Hitachi flashing red light. That should help to be sure.
The DLP lamp replacement is fairly straightforward and can be done with minimal tools

"Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error

The HDMI cable was causing "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error message to appear.
When I reconnected my DVD to TV using regular cable with 3 color connectors(i don't know what is the proper name for that cable) that error message no longer appears on my screen and I was able to watch my movie normally.

Picture goes bad (fuzzy&scrolls&lines) on Hitachi projection tv

Sounds like your convergence modules have gone bad. They have 21 close spaced pins to unsolder and resolder. You'll need a soldering iron with a fine point tip and thin gauge solder to do the repairs yourself. Solder bridges between pins are common when soldering these module pins, so have some unsoldering wick handy if you're going to fix it yourself.
