When print a file, the printer screen show ''Data Received'', So I can not print anything

the printer is missing something. Check if there is paper. also check to make sure you printed the right size paper. If you printed 8.5 x 11 sheet make sure that paper is in your tray or if you printed a different size make sure that paper is there. Than if all is good just restart your compouter and printer and it should be fine.

Recently I have gotten a message,

The application you are using is calling for a specific size or type paper in tray 1.

For example, you have "Executive" size paper and the job needs Letter size.

Easiest fix is to make sure your "Page Set-up" matches what you have in Tray.

Failing that, you can also, open tray 1, pull it most of the way out and then push it back in. This will force a re-read of the paper size. Then press the "Green" button.

If it still happens, use the "Print To File" check-box on the Printer Properties screen and then name the print file something like "tray1fail" and send it to me at don.farr@hotmail.com and I'll be happy to run it through some of my file readers and tell you what the print job is looking for. There is no fee or charge for this. I actually enjoy reading print files.

Print size is so tiny as to be almost unreadable

There should be a button that says "fit to page". If your printer does not have that button, you will have to go into the printer program and check print settings, there should be a fit to page setting there.

Printing from online comes out very light

Typically, the quality of images and text on websites is very low resolution to keep the file size down in order for them to load more quickly on your screen. Just because it looks good on your screen doesn't mean it will print the same. There are just fewer dots per inch in the text and images and they can appear faint and low quality when printed. Look for a print icon on some web pages as it will be at least formatted properly to fit the page and some are of better quality than printing what is on the screen.

When it comes to emails, if the text is in a color, especially blue, they will tend to print light. Change your printer settings to print grayscale and that should help sharpen things up about as much as is possible.

Scan views fine; prints fuzzy

Try to change the dpi to the maximum, maybe 600 dpi. This will make the picture more defined.

Font size is controlled by the source program, not the printer unless it is printing info stored in the printer and this can be accessed even without the printer communicating with a computer.

You didn't mention what it was you were trying to print, such as MicroSoft word, Wordpad, Notepad, from your screen?
Are you using a PC or Mac?
These things are necessary for us to help you.

Each of those sources have settings that can influence print size.
Look for 'View' or 'Font size' in the menu of whatever your source is and set it to a level you want to see.

If you are doing a screen printout, setting the font size will influence both screen and print sizes.

LaserJet 6L Prints Outlook content too light

You can run into these problems when using non OEM toner cartridges. It sounds like anything that is printed in a light gray is not printing correctly.

LaserJet 6L Prints Outlook content too light

I also had the google maps print issue on my HP3030 and fixed it by setting the "Default Quality" under "Copy Setup" from the HP3030 menu to "Photo" from "Test".

That's a hardware setting on the HP 3030:
Menu/Enter > Copy Setup > Default Quality > Photo

Hope this helps.
