Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have picked up a used Xerox XC865 recently.
It powers on, there are no warning messages, and the toner cartridge has been replaced, yet, no image is produced.
You are not getting any transfer. There are two types of transfers:
1- Corona wire; a set of very thin wires (hair thin and usually gold) that sit exactly against the drum. they are eiher broken or the unit is shorting out
2- a black spongy roller, usually don't go bad may need some recalibration
other possibility is the Developper unit,
which may be going bad look at it does it have a coat of toner on it? if no and you can see the long roller (it should be a silver magnet roller) if you can see the silver then there is not enough toner on the roller, it should have a thin solid layer of toner all the way
