Moisture? Blurry lens or moisture inside

After a trip to Cancun under humid weather my lens became blurry. It was fine until I went form an air conditioned hotel room to the room's balcony... I can see some pictures taken before and they are ok, but now all the pictures and the lens are all blurry. How can I get the moisture out, how can I fix this? Also, back home, when I tried to download what I had in the camera, the computer gave me an error message!!! I need help Thanks

Try rice or silica gel. I keep a satchel of it in my camera bag to keep moisture out.

I haven't tried this myself, but I have heard of folks putting their camera in sunshine, and just let it set , and others have used a hair dryer for short durations. Like I said I haven't tried these, and usually moisture is a camera killer.

I have a Olympus C-750 UltraZoom. I was taking pictures and everything was normal, but then I noticed the viewfinder was blurry. I was walking through a tunnel under a river and I thought the temperature...

Hi Steve, I inform you that the problem only is moisture. Please follow this.
1. Put the camera in sunlight for few hours. After that use it & if you face same problem then
2. You need to visit camera repair shop and they open the camera completely and clean all the inside part of the camera. because you need to clean the moisture inside of lens, viewfinder & sensor too.
So only hope in sunlight. If its solve then fine.

There is moisture coming out of the AC vents on my daughters 2006 s40, usually during very hot weather and not until the car has been driven for several miles

The drain on the evaporator is stopped up,look for it directly bellow the ac lines ,where they go into the car, under the hood,it will be on the bottom of the blower box,use air pressure to blow into the drain to clear it out.

My s860 samung camera will only take blurry pictures it was fine one day and the next it would only take blurry pictures

it may have moisture inside that could be the root of the problem,
try removing battery and card and put it in a jar of rice (rice acts as a great desiccant) and leave for a few days the try your cam again,
if problem persists let me know and we'll sure find an answer.

My car is misting when the ac is on

Misting? From under the hood or out of the vents? If it is out of the vents, that is normal when the humidity is very high. The air from the outside is full of moisture, when you cool it by passing it over the a'c coil, the excess moisture will appear as a fog briefly. If you put the control on recirculate, you use inside cabin air and that should stop the problem. All about relative humidity. Warmer air holds more moisture. For instance in the winter when the RH is maybe 30% outside at 30 degrees, you bring that air inside and warm it to 70, the RH drops significantly. Don;t have the formula off hand, but it whu you get the static electricity shocks in the colder weather.

There is a blurry dot on my LCD screen as well as on my photos

Well then, there's also a blurry dot inside of your lens somewhere, I'm not poking fun at this although it sounds that way. Try putting the whole cam in a bowl of ucooked rice for a 24 hour period, uncovered. Burry it deep. When you take it out shake any loose grains out that may have found their way in. Your blurry dot sounds like a moisture spot. The rice will draw all moisture out of the cam.

Weatherproof Garmin GPSmap 478 has moisture on the inside of the window. Works fine. How do I remove the moisture?

Put it in a warm place for a few days. The IP rating allows immersion up to 1m so it should be OK if it's still working. I wouldn't take it apart as if you don't remake the seals properly you'll be stuffed.

Blurred pictures

If it's from moisture then once that dries out it will clear up. Otherwise if it doesn't then you will have to send it into repairs and they can clean the internal lens for you.

BLURRY OR FUZZY LENS

Perhaps you have had the camera in a very humid environment and now there is condensation inside? Perhaps try putting it somewhere warm and dry (not hot) for several days. Switch it on and off (and zoom in and out a bit) a few times during this period to change the air inside the lens. This will help expel the moisture.

I assume that it isn't just finger marks on the front of the lense? If it is, you can use a cleaning cloth (for eye glasses or from a camera shop) to clean it.

Blurry Spot

Hi,
First check lens for any moisture when the cover is open - even dried liquid.

If it is consistent, and you've cleaned the lens, then the CCD may have a fault on it.

This would need returning under warranty if it is still covered.
