regardless of where the phone is, wether it is static or stationary, in call or idle, playing a game or music, my phone will just go off. not shutdown but go blank and require turning back on. as if the battery had been removed. i am currently trying out a bit of cardboard shoved under the battery to push it against the contacts.
it still goes off with a gentle knock tho.
dunno what more info i can give you beyond that.

Could you please provide some more information. I have had similar problems with my phone, and I suspect it is not due to software reflash

I was looking for a phone model :) however, let me give you a few troubleshooting steps;
1) (this may not work depending on your phone model) take out the battery, and plug in the charger by itself. If the phone turns on and everything, and STAYS on, you have a problem with your battery, but like i said, many phones don't like to turn on without the battery 2) if someone you know has the same phone as you, you can borrow their battery, and see if it solves the problem 3) if you think the battery is a problem, then take it to your service provider's store, and they will replace it for you. If your phone is defective, they can help you with that as well.

Invalid sim 3322 Samsung mobile

As far as I can find out, this message means that you have installed a sim card from a network different from the one that the phone is locked in on. You need a card for the correct network or you need to get the phone unlocked.

No service(network) on my BB 9630 phone

Try to unlock your blackberry network using blackberry tour 9630 unlock code for your original network sim card. Example : if your original network sim card at&t, use blackberry unlock code for at&t network. If your network still no service signal, reflash your blackberry phone.

I am unable to access any of the blackberry services on my bold 9700. my carrier suggested that as the phone has been unlocked that i need to reflash? can you advise

Try to unlock your phone using blackberry bold 9700 unlock code network from your original sim card. If your phone already unlocked you didn't need reflash process, blackberry unlocked phones can use any other network sim card whenever you put that sim card on your phone.

Formate nokia 5530 if forget secuirty code

Delete some unnecessary files in your phone memory like images and videos. Go to your phone gallery and delete some of those. And if you want to use the memory card as phone message storage then go to Messaging - Option - Settings - Other and then Memory in Use, select your memory card.
But if your phone is infected with a virus then you need to format your phone. One sign of infection is your phone keep sending a message randomly from your contacts without your consent.
Use these code and enter it to format your phone:
*#7370# and then the default code is 12345

I have a Samsung F480 and I am getting my screen freezing and I can only fix it by taking the battery out. Is this a known fault of this model?

it is an issue not only to samsung phones but the other brands and model as well.
to give you an idea, the causes of phone freezes are.
1. firmware failure
2. low phone memory capacity due to some big files were saved to phone
3. errors on your memory card(i.e; not formatted through cp or formatted to pc instead of your cp formatting utility, etc)
4. deleted file system for your phone or relocations of its strings
5. deleted or modifications on the registry
6. other applications are running on backgrounds.
7. sim errors or the phone is having difficulty to recognize the it.
many more...

to help you fix the problem try to do the steps.
1. back up your phone files, examples are, contacts, messages, mms, notes, task, etc through your samsung pc suite.
2. switch off your phone.
3. remove your battery
4. remove your sim and memory card
5. reinsert your battery and switch the phone.
6. from your keypad menu, type this code*2767*3855# to factory reset your phone and erase or fix the errors encountered by it.
7. switch off your phone, reinsert your sim and battery and switch on play with it first by setting and configuring it and check.
8. if your sim doesn't give you any lagging or freezes, switch it off, and insert your memory card and check.

after a successful factory reset had taken place and your problem was not fixed.....troubleshooting steps.
note 1. if this doesn't fix your problem, try to remember what you have done lately to your phone.
example of it is, unlocking to all networks by the use of a patch, or reflash. if this was what you have done lately, try to go back to the one who unlocked it and have him reflash the firmware or the latest version of the firmware for your phone.

note 2, try a different sim check if lagging and pauses occurs. if not then your sim has the errors.

note 3, remove the sim and insert your memory card, if lagging and freezes occurs, there's also a problem in your memory card. you may want to insert it to your computer and run the virus scanner from your pc. and reinsert it after the virus scan and check.

note 4. after factory reset had taken place, and the phone restarts and without sim and memory it gives you the same problem, go to your nearest samsung service centers, you may be needing a firmware upgrades or firmware reflash.

regards..

I can't turn on my phon

It's likely that you need to reflash the phone software to your phone. You can do this yourself  or just do it at a phone shop or through an online site like Da Vinci or Wontan.

But something you should try is to remove the battery and take out your SIM / memory card and then let it sit for a bit before you reinsert the battery [withouth SIM / memory card] and restart the phone. Hopefully that'll work, if not then you'll probably have to reflash the phone software.

My Samsung U600 will not transfer images from my memory card to my phone to use as a wallpaper etc. It keeps stating that it has failed. It also will not take pictures if I have to store to the phone...

'uve said that they upload the latest firmware., send it back to them and tell them that the firmware they put was'nt match for your fone..they have to put the same version and flash it to your fone not using your firmware, probably they use ur own software..and it also was faulty, they have to try to downgrade it to work properly., or try a lot of firmswares to macth and and they have to observe it first before givin it back to you.. .. if its still the same.... probably ihe problem is you ram ( random acces memory ). it's faulty and have to replace or repair it...tnx
