Hi there

Your best bet would be a professional data recovery firm - it'll be expensive though,
the memory chip need to be take out from it and soldered in a new identical data stick, and hope it works long enough to get your data off.

dont try to do it yourself you will need professional help that too depends if the memory chip itself is not damaged
hope this helps
Good luck

If it is only the connector it is not impossible to fix. Usb has 4 connectors, here is
USB pinout All you need to find is a local electronic repairer good at soldering, and ask him to solder the 4 usb connectors on the small board inside your data stick to an usb cable, following the pinout above. Eventually give the repairman a printout of the
USB pinout page.

A: if you want to take a risk, try bending the top of it back to it's normal position.
B: You might want to open it up and check for internal damage. Most flash drives are held together by a screw or can be **** open with a penknife. Bend the plug back to it's normal position, and try putting it back in your computer. If your computer picks it up, copy off all the data, and buy a new flash drive!
If that doesn't work, contact a data recovery specialist in your area, and they will be able to help you! Good Luck!

Windows 7 not compitable with belkin usb to serial adapter

can you confirm if it is F5U409?
If so the solution would be to install windows vista drivers. in belkin site it says that windows 32bit are compatible with the adapter.

My garmin GPS 12 needs a serial port connection. New HP laptop with Windows 7 OS only has USB connections. Salesman sold me a Belkin F5U109 adapter but windows wont recognise it.

You should install the drivers for the adapter running as administrator. If the adapter is not supported by windows 7 you should give it back to salesman and get a new one compatible with windows 7

My Belkin USB PDA Adapter Serial adapter when

In my effort to find answer I created a bigger issue. Answer to my Belkin issue was found at the Belkin website. But now due to my own failure to read all the details of acceptance of what I thought was what was necessary to get help; I am into another software 'pay-me' software program costing $10/month or $12+ for one time help of something which is simple to fix (Fix-ya). I got tired of paying Microsoft $25 each time to answer a simple question and often told to re-booth my entire system at 'possibe loss of my info'. When I found the answer and told them what I did to fix my pervious problem they did not credit me or pay me $25. And now there is Fix-ya; NO THANKS. Please remove me from your support group list. Not interested. JB

My CF card is not being read by the computer, but the Canon camera reads it. Is there a solution so I don't lose all my pics?

First off, as a rescue measure, you should find a way to retrieve pictures form that card, and then try experimenting.
The simplest way would be to use a cable connection to your camera. Does your camera come with an USB cable? Or at least a socket for such cable? If so, which will be the case with 95% of cameras, then you should connect your camera to the computer and retrieve the pictures. Refer to camera manual manufacturer's online instructions and sometimes drivers needed to accomplish that. Many cameras will connect and install automatically as soon as you plug them in (sometimes they have to be set to "View pictures" mode for that, sometimes they have a special "PC mode", and sometimes it won't matter what state your camera is in.)
If you don't have an option to connect the camera to your computer, look for a camera that has this functionality and try your card in it.
As to why your computer doesn't see the card, there may be multiple causes - the card reader may be faulty, the computer may not have proper drivers installed for it (did it work before?), the card may have some data garbled and the computer refuses to open it, while the camera is able to ignore this... It's impossible to troubleshoot without more info.
Good luck and come back with a testimonial/rating if helped :)
