    same problem

I have a PV GS50 (not NV - not sure if there is a difference)

When I install the original software CD and driver, VISTA fails to recognize any USB or Firewire plug ins from my GS50. The Panasonic website no longer lists the PV GS50, so it offers no update help.

Has anyone gotten this model to work on Vista?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The USB driver gven by the manufacturer is not installing on the Laptop. you should NOT need a USB driver with windows 7 - the USB should automatically detect the camera

Please help with panasonic PV-GS31 !!

The driver for Win 200 will work fine under XP. Vista of course is another monster all together.
What I would suggest under Vista is the following.
Use the same Win2000 Drivers...
  1. Extract the drivers to a folder.
  2. Plug the camera into the USB port and Vista will detect it. At this point (if you are really lucky) Vista will have drivers in it's catalogue and install them.
  3. If it does not have them it will pop up a box and ask what you want to do.
  4. Choose select the driver from a list.
  5. When the window pops up, choose Have Disk and browse to the folder you extracted the files into.
  6. Pick the right INF file and then select OK.
  7. It will then begin to try and install the drivers.
  8. Follow any other prompts you see, and make sure to read each one clearly.
Hope that helps =)

I am unable to connect my Panasonic PV GS150 handycam and Vista business edition running laptop using a USB cable. Do I need driver S/W?

You will need to install the USB driver from your software(disc) to your vista.

and make sure the computer is recognizing your camera, check under control panel and device managers list if your product is listed under imaging devices, but chances are you might be having compatibility issues since it doesnt have an updater for Vista, hope this help. pls dont forget to rate. Thanks!!
