The manual for the casio 262 can be found here:

Go to Page 11 in the manual for an explanation on how to program your sales tax based on state tax rates or a flat rate percentage (say 7%).

HOW DO I PROGRAM SALES TAX RATE INCREASE ON A CASIO CE2400?

Hi.
This is a special USA model that uses preset tax tables which are now outdated (they were correct as of 1994). You will need to ring a dealer in your area and ask them what the new settings are for tax on this model when programming it for your new rate.

Hi.
Has it had the system options set for tax? Was it calculating previously? Usually you just need to change the rate when you have a tax increase.
