Oven beeps and display shows F7

Error F7 means that the keypad is shorted or stuck and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the Electronic Range control (ERC).

The code can be caused by a faulty keypad or a stuck keypad which may mean relay is turned on. Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
a.- Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
b.- Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if code come on again, the problem is in the Control. Replace control to solve it. If code does not come on, problem is with the Key Panel
.

Hope helps.

Oven displays code F7

The F7 error code on this oven indicates that you have a problem with the control keypad or the electronic oven control board. The image below shows how to access the control board on this oven. Shut off the circuit breakerto the oven before accessing internal components. If you are able to access the control board, you can check the ribbon cable to make sure that it is properly plugged in. If the ribbon cable is secure and you see no damage to it, I recommend that you unplug that cable and reassemble the oven. Reset the breaker to power the oven back up. Wait for one minute to see if the F7 code returns with the ribbon cable unplugged. If it does then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

F7 alarm

EVERY failure code schematic i look at on maytag states that if your getting a f7 code then your keppad has failed or is stuck... make sure you turn breaker off for approx. 30 seconds and run your hand across touch pad firmly pressing down on all the keys... reset breaker and try again... if it still faults then you are going to have a bad touch pad... be warned though the touch pad does have a ribbon cable that connects to the control coard and it is possible it has shorted control/display board as well... hope this helps you out ...appliance servicer for 18 years
good luck

We had a power outage and when the electricity was restored the oven is displaying an F1 and F7 code and is beeping the alarm, how do i stop this?

Hello, the F1 error code means internal logic failure (monitoring function) it sounds alarm and inhibit cook mode You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC)

F7 error code means the function key shorted for over 16 seconds, check for something pressing a key or preventing normal release of the key. You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC) if other component check normal.

Thanks

F7 shows on display and display getting dimmer over months

Dim display is TOTALLY independent of F7 error.
The display will dim as the display board capacitors wear out - due to the heat. Replace the capacitors on the display board (see my other posts) and your be able to see the F7 error code as bright as can be!

GE wall oven display say F7, Bake and alarm sounds

Hi,

F7 error code occures due to
A = Function pad button stuck or
B = Bad clock Unstick button or
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Replace the ERC there are ten screws 3 on each side and 4 on the control leave the hex screws alone all you need is a phillip screwdriver.
REMEMBER TO SHUT OFF THE POWER FIRST lift and fold out the control panel remove the ribbon cable and remove the four screws that hold the control board . replace control panel in reverse order.
Good Luck!!
Thanks

F7 alarm

F7 stands for a faulty touch pad, faulty clock or both. Usually it's the touch pad. Most manufacturers recommend replacing both of the components. First, because they make more money that way, and second, it's the easiest (although more expensive) way to fix this problem. If you'd rather try and save some $$$, you can perform the following test and hopefully identify which of the two components needs to be replaced. The test... Disconnect the power to the oven before performing any repairs. Something triggers the clock to display F7 error code. You can unplug the touch pad from the clock and see if F7 comes back on. If it does, the clock is bad. If it does not, the touch pad is bad. Hope this helps, APP tech http://www.AppliancePartsPros.com
