Question about Electrolux Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a John Lewis JLWM1203 washing machine but understand it was an Electolux made by possibly Siemens. 2008 year. 1. What is the correct model/make for spares. 2. The drum is hammering on spin cycle or heavy vibration sounding like bearing failure. Slight end float of drum found when pulling and pushing drum. Machine just out of 3 year warranty by 2 months. Please advise ( have replaced bearings on a Hotpoint which lasted 13 years with same sort of useage).

Do the following numbers mean anything?
    AKO 722082-02
    Elux 132430402
    PNC(ELC) 914522514(00)
When sales companies 'badge up' in their names they do not want you to know of the original manufacturer. The only reason Ithink it an Electolux is that a sheet came with it wth photos for removing the the shipping brackets other than that I dont know the model.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you haven't done already, I would be tempted to look for spares suppliers with the info you already have i.e. JLWM1203! Do you have a manual with anything in it?
Spares Suppliers
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer spares' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can order. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number.
If this has assisted you please score accordingly.
Thanks and good luck!

What is the actual manufacturers name and model for a 'made for John Lewis JLWM1203' It looks like an Electrolux from the commissioning instructions supplied but no Model No. Please note John Lewis only sells them not makes them but has them badged up with their name.

Oh yes- it's quite surprising who actually makes what- you need to see our lists ;-0)
Is there no manufacturer's plate on the back to give you a better idea?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand when you wash your dark clothes in your Frigidaire washer, model# FWX833AS1, there is lint left on them after the wash. There are a couple of possibilities that can cause lint.

First, would be incorrect sorting, or possibly tissues left in a pocket. It could be overloading your washer or not using enough detergent. Try reducing your load size. Rewash the clothes using the correct water temperature, water level, and amount of detergent.

Secondly, could be that it is undissolved detergent leaving residue on your clothes. Try adding a nonprecipitating water conditioner to the wash water.

Thirdly, it could be static cling attracting the lint. Try adding fabric softener to the final rinse, if you aren't already.

Lastly, the load could have washed too long.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

John lewis integrated dishwasher

make this test and fix it. God bless you
Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace timer/control board

I Have the John Lewis mini sewing machine, I am struggling to sew. every time i try the tension to lose or to tight, it snags the fabric, the stich is not secure, or straight, i tried changing the...

is the needle inserted correctly?
is it the right needle for the fabric being sewed?
it's possible that it could also be a timing problem, which means it would have to be check at a sewing machine shop

I want contact number of electrolux washing machine

Under guarantee or not you should either find the number in the user manual, maybe on the plate at the back (?) or, if all else fails, go on-line to the manufacturer's site. Just type into your search engine 'electolux washer' and you should be presented with the site details which is likely to contain the information you require or the ability to contact it by email.

Hope this helps and answers your question.

Good luck!

Hi, (Englishman actually in France and understanding most of written French!!)

You need to type into your search machine ' siemens washer manual' and you should be presented with sources from which you can either download for free or pay for a manual. The sites will ask for the model number at some point!

Error message E50 shows when the machine is switch on.

Zanussi washing machines can sometimes display error code E50. As John Lewis washing machines are currently also made by Zanussi some John Lewis washing machines can also display error E50.

Unfortunately this is not a "proper" error code and is not listed in error code lists. It's part of the motor fault error code group and is apparently displayed to customers but when an engineer enters a special diagnostic display the "proper" error code will be displayed giving more information.

However, there are usually only two error codes beginning with E5 which are E51 and E52, which are "motor power triac short circuited" and "no signal from the motor tachometric generator" respectively.

So if you have E50 displayed on a Zanussi or John Lewis washing machine it looks like a problem with the motor. However, the E51 "motor power triac short circuited" could be a fault on one of the PC boards as triacs are usually on printed circuit boards. This could have blown due to a short circuit somewhere else (like the motor for example) - I would advise that an engineer is required if you can't see anything obvious with the motor.
