Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a ak640 hifi and get the error code f61 on power up,, what is the meaning of this code and how can i fix it
I have a panasonic 5 disc changer Stereo system. when i power it, keeps switching off saying good bye. F61 then appears on the screen. I have changed the output integrated circuit, the three regulators (transistors # D2395) and two other transistors "K301". still the same problem persists. what other steps can be taken to solve this problem? could u be kind enought to email me a schematic diagram of this system, i would appreciate it greatly.

Dust may not be the entire cause, but without knowing the make and model, anything I list would be pure speculation. Please post the make and model. That should give me enough info to list the probable problems and their solutions.

SOURCE: F61 code error
I had this problem! Panasonic 5CD Hi Fi. I opened the case to get a look at the circuits and noticed a covering of dust on the components. I took the hoover to it and an initial inspection could find no glaring problems, such as burnt PCB! I decided to power-up and to my joy the machine whizzed into life. Problem solved!!!!!!!! BTW, this unit is at aprox 10 years old and still goin great!
