Question about Kodak EasyShare C330 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My photos won't transfer to my computer. The the last time I loaded photos onto my computer which was last week, it worked fine. however today the same computer says it does not recognize the USB device, so the camera wizard will not come up. I work in a office so in tried several different computers, none worked. some say usb not recognized, some say there is a power surge at the hub, whatever that means. So bottom line is I'm not able to get my photos onto a computer. What changed since last week? please help, thanks!

Change the USB port. If you are connecting it to front USB of your computer, try connecting it to USB port at back of computer..

The cable might be fauty.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Please try deleting the drivers , then reloading.

It will look for the connection again, and hopefully find it this time.

What probably happened is the battery slowly drained on the shelf and its shot. Basically the type of battery in these (and a lot of other devices) can not be left with a very low charge for long periods of time or it degrades them. What happened is the battery just degraded and now cant hold a charge.

Getting Pictures Off My Camera and Onto My Computer

It sound like you have a problem with your memory card.
But I would try buying a card reader as well. Whether it turns out to be the card or not.
there are alot things that can go wrong when trying to use your camera to transfer the images instead of a card reader. a card reader shouldn't cost you more than 20 dollars.
It will also make transferring your images faster.
in the camera when you hit the review button do the images show up on the lcd screen of the camera?

Hope that works,
Caleb

Go to the "Add and Remove Programs" in your Control panel.
Do a "Change" and do the 'repair program' utility.
That should fix it, good as new.
If that is not a possible option, try uninstalling. (if there is no "Change" and 'repair program') then Run the normal uninstall program.
