Good afternoon, during a robbery pulled my player screen BV9978B Boss, I need the flex that transmits the data to the screen because it broke

  • Due to the nature of this item it is not something readily available. I recommend contacting Boss Audio Systems directly here so that you get the correct cable as that is a pricey deck to to take a chance on a second rate after market cord on.

I just got a boss bv7989 and I try to se dcs movies and can only hear sound but no picture just a blue screen.thank you

that sounds like the handbrake connecter cable has not been installed correctly. Video units legally must have the handbrake (E-brake) in the on position to work.
First try watching a movie with the handbrake in the on position, if that doesnt work, make sure that the wire running from the handbrake to the source unit is connected properly. if it is, try and put it onto the other wire running from the handbrake. most units now require a "pulse" from the signal cable to turn the screen on, so that means you cant connect it to a straight earth anymore.

I have a NEC plasma tv which until recently played dvd/videos etc without problems. It then have lines going across the screen and sometimes just black out on the screen. We had the dvd/video player...

All plasma an lcd TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times reseating the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable.
Hope this help in solving the problem.Take care.....

Brother mfc465-cn unable to init 49

Error 49 relates to the print head drive voltage. It may just need the flat ribbon cables that connect the head to the main pcb reseating, but equally it may need the print head replacing (most likely).
An outside chance that the main pcb will need replacing.

In theory, all of these jobs are a task for an engineer. Brother UK (0870 830 400) can pass you on to a repair agent.

Avic n-2 blank screen==cable upgrade done year ago

I have seen Pioneer replaced ribbon cables fail in as little as 3 months. Rick on Ebay guarantee his cables for life or as long as you own it. His company name is Same Day Audio Services and he is very reliable. He will do it for around $100. Pioneer only replace it free for the first time, after that they might charge up to $220. Good luck.
PS. I fix service and sell the Avic N series on Ebay.I get my part from Rick, mention Hogan from Utah and you might get a discount.

Does Pioneer still offer FREE replacement screen ribbon cables??

Yes they will replace the ribbon cable for free for only one time. but if you did the bypass mod they will unmod it and charge you $200 for doing it. In that case you better of send it to that guy Rich with Same Day Audio Service on Ebay, he will fix it with his company manufactured milspec ribbon cable for I think $85. His cables are much higher quality than Pioneer's and come with a free lifetime warrantee if you have it perform by him or you can purchase the cable from him and put it in by yourself but he won't guarantee it if you do. It not very hard to do if you are a little bit technical incline. I bought a few cables and replaced them myself with the Ribbon Cable Exhausted Tutor Guide on, but I have figured out a much easier way to do it. Let me know if you need help. Goodluck to you.
