Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
First of all read the manual that came with the printer. If you can't find it then you may be able to download an Acrobat pdf file of the manual from the manufacturer's website. This could save you a lot of time!
Make sure the printer is turned on. Are any lights flashing that could indicate a problem? Can you clear the problem by turning the printer off and on again? Have any settings been changed - consult the manual before changing them.If the power switch is on but there's nothing happening and no lights lit check the power supply and transformer if there is one. Is there paper in the tray? Is there a paper jam? If there is, try to extract the paper gently - forcing the paper could damage the mechanical parts or the drum. Open up all the available doors, inspect the paper tray and duplex area if there is one, and remove and replace the toner cartridge.
Disconnect the parallel cable that connects the printer and the computer. Check the ends of each side of the parallel cable to check for any broken pieces or frayed wires that may be causing the errors in which you are troubleshooting the printer. Try using a new cable to isolate the printing problems and see if the printer errors are caused by the cable.
Most printers are plug and play meaning that if you open up the box and plug it into your pc it should work, however time to time you will need to install the software drivers so that your printer can talk to your pc. If you plug in your printer and it does not recognize the pc the first place to check is the software that came with the printer and install the drivers that came with it.
In some cases if you can't find the cd, almost every printer manufacturer has a website that you can download print drivers from. HP and Gateway are really good about maintaining up to date drivers for their printers.

Tips for a great answer:
The headlamp relay is activated
The VE1 option is equipped with automatic headlamps, which is activated when the photo sensor detects dark conditions. A code will set if there is a fault in the photo sensor, or in the two CKT's between the photo sensor and the body control module (BCM).
The coil output of the headlamp relay travels through CKT 250 (BLK) and is grounded at G101.
When the headlamp relay is activated, power is supplied to both the LH and RH headlamp fuses through CKT 1346 (LT BLU).
LO and HI beam functions are activated/determined by the multi-function switch on the steering column.
The HI beam function must be enabled by the body control module (BCM).
The headlamp power travels through the multi-function switch at the steering column and is grounded through CKT 750 (BLK).
The flash-to-pass function is also activated by the multi-function switch on the steering column. It is powered by CKT 1840 (ORN) and enabled through the body control module (BCM) via CKT 307 (YEL).
