Could be a broken lid switch.

check the continuity on the two end wires...if you close the lid, there should be continuity. if you open the lid, there should be no continuity.

i hope i fix your problem.

tnx,

Lid is not locking properly, washer sensor is overfilling, and the washer wont spin

Check door switch: If the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining. Release switch. Motor should stop. Press switch a second time. Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. OR

My washer will agitate but wont spin out or drain any ideas ?

No washer will spin when the lid is up. If the lid is down and it still wont spin, the first thing to check is the lid switch. If it's bad, the washer will think the lid is up all the time. You'll need to remove the front panel of the washer to see it. Here is the switch to order.

slowly open and close the lid and listen for a clicking sound. most washers have a lid switch that clicks when closing the lid. if this switch is bad then the washer will not spin or drain. depending on what brand of washer you have.
