Question about Panasonic CT-32G6 32" TV
Approx. 7-year old CRT unit:
While watching tv, picture began to be squashed vertically until it was a single horizontal line. Sometimes turning set on or off or tapping side of cabinet would restore picture, but eventually there was nothing but a single horizontal line. Switched TV's for several months. Plugged in set tonight, and I appear to have a full picture again. Set has been running now for about an hour without a recurrance of the "single horizontal line syndrome."
I suspect a cracked PCB or a loose solder connection due to the intermittent nature and the tapping on the cabinet sometimes fixing the problem. If so, where should I look for cracked pathways or loose connections?
I would suggest to locate a part that looks like the one on this link and re solder all the pins, also check for any high power resistor nearby the IC295890 and put some fresh solder.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
