It leaks clear water from the front right corner. The leak is through the front right rubber foot. How can I open the machine to take a look inside?

I will not force it. I was asking about the proper procedure to open the case. The leak may be caused by something simple like an O ring, gasket or plastic tube.

  • abe_iskander Apr 11, 2011

Jura has a flat charge for all repairs whether it is replacing a gasket or the entire brewing unit. The charge is higher than the worth of the machine. Is this valve available to me and can I replace it myself? If not how may I obtain service at a reasonable charge? I am in Naples, Florida.

I still did not get a response describing how I may open the case to inspect the machine and determine conclusively what is wrong. When my older model leaked several years ago, it only needed a gasket.

  • abe_iskander Apr 11, 2011

I'd appreciate instructions on how to open this machine to inspect the front right side.

  • abe_iskander Apr 11, 2011

This machine is regularly cleaned and descaled. I'm certain the leak is caused by a worn out gasket. This happened before to my other Jura. All I need is help opening up the hosing. No one seems to know how.

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya.

Usually, I too was having occasional leaks at the bottom of my coffee machine (not the same brand though) and I found out that it was caused by a clogged drain hole with coffee grounds.

Proper cleaning and maintenance can prevent this from happening so I have included the link to the very comprehensive user's manual/instructions that will help you on :

  • Identifying parts and how to do a proper teardown
  • Clean and maintain the machine
Here you go :

Please let me know, and Thanks for using Fixya.

This machine is not designed to be opened in this way. This may cause harm to the case if you attempt to force it open. If you have any problem, then you can call at this number 1-800-220-5701 or can visit this web-link for customer support : http://www.capresso.com/.

There is a valve at the right corner. This is a safety valve. When there is high pressure it acts as a safety vale. You have to change this valve.

Hello
To get its service manual [repair manual]; get into "givemefile.net"; where the exploded view of the machine is given. Jus type 'givemefile.ner' in Google search box and enter. Just find out the manual you need, whether it be a user manual of service manual; and get it absolutley free download, in Adobe Acrobat Reader format. OK.

Water leak in front left corner of unit. Rusty leveler near strainer.

Is the leak on the same side as the hinges? If yes I'm guessing someone overstressed the hinge when opening the door too widely or by leaning on the open door and the seal is just barely tight enough now. Crack the door open half an inch and eyeball the door gap from top to bottom on the open side to see if the door is unevenly hinged - you can use a ruler to help measure but you need to keep the door immobile while comparing top and bottom gap widths. Tape a hard wedge in place in the doorframe to help with that. Fix for that? Pressure on the door in the right direction to straighten the hinge mount.

Saeco xelsis leaking water

The removable drip tray inside the front of the machine has two rubber inserts on the back side and the rubber has come away from the plastic causing a false leak. You will need to order a new one or fix the existing one.

I have had water leaking from underneath my dishwasher and have found that on filling, water overflows top of the water inlet unit

My Miele 828 dishwasher started to leak at the front left corner. The leak became worse. I tipped the machine on its side and removed the rubber moulding connecting the base of the drum to the pump. I cleaned it out and refitted it finding two small coins inside. The leak persisted. I took off the top of the machine by unscrewing the two screws on either side and pushing the lid backwards. I switched the machine on and, with a torch could see that the detergent dispenser had detached from the delivery pipe under it. Using advice elsewhere on Fixya I undid the three bolts around the door and the three screws around the detergent dispenser; one is deeply recessed and easily missed. Than I unclipped the drain pipe behind the little door at the bottom left hand corner at the front. The front then hinges out from the left with hinges at the right side making the leaking connection easily accessible. Make sure you get the rubber flange well up the plastic tube as there is no flange on the tube to secure it. A possible design fault but the unit has functioned for ten years before the connection failed.

Leaking water from the front

Hi,

The problem is due to the rubber boot is been torn that is causing you the leak. You have to check the rubber boot for leaks by removing the clamp assembly that secures the rubber boot to the outer lip of the door opening. Peel off the rubber boot then inspect it for any holes where it may be leaking. The rubber boot in your washer can be accessed only when you remove the front panel. This requires the removal first of the top panel then the console. Also check your inlet hoses on the outside of machine, also check the connections inside the panel in back.
Thank you !!

Problem : Water leaking out from under washing machine

NOTE. PLEASE UN-PLUG THE UNIT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE FOLLOWING JUST TO BE SAFE:-

Problem may be due to a blocked dispenser hole. Completely remove the dispenser unit and check for blockages in the hole where the water goes in. If you cant see anything immediate, take the top off. (Remove the 2 self tapping screws on the back holding the top on). Looking at the unit from the front. look inside where you took the top off and locate the rubber hose that connects the dispenser unit to the drum (it's a tight space, but if you look inside , front left you will see where the hose connects to the drum). Remove the hose and check for blockages. (The hose just pushes into the drum). Let me know. I had a similar problem and found that somebody had shoved a sock and pair of knickers down the water dispenser hole. This was also causing the machine to make a loud noise when spinning. Have you also checked the filter in the bottom right hand corner of the unit ? You have to remove the kick panel to get access to it.

My washing machine is leaking from the bottom it is ruining my floor do I need to replace the machine or do you think it is a simple task to fix

If this is the same leak I just fixed, it is worth fixing ($12 dollar part from repairclinic.com), but takes some skill at taking it apart and putting it back together.

My leak was from a black rubber hose that connect the drum to the filter area and recirculating and drain pumps. The repair can be done from the front of the machine.

1. Drain the machine - pry the panel at the front left lower corner to get access to a stoppered tube. drain as much water from here as possible.
2. Remove screw visible inside this area and remove the white molded plastic - also remove the screw behind that plastic.
3. Open the washer door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door gasket. Carefully pull the door gasket away from the panel push inside and then reclose the door.
4. Remove the detergent drawer and the two screws visible behind it.
5. Pull the top of the electronics panel away from the machine and lift up - place on top of machine or hook it out of the way
6 Remove the 4 screws that are visible holding the front panel to the machine. Left the entire front panel up about 2 inches and swing to the right (there is a wire connecting the door to the machine on the right)
7. You can now see inside the machine and hopefully see where your leak is comming from. The black rubber hose connecting the drum to the drain area is where my leak developed because this is designed to flex as the machine tumbles and spins but ultimately wears out. It is connected with two clams that can be removed with pliers and a third hose clamp that diconnects with a phillips head screw driver.

Leaking Washer Machine

The right front corner is possibly a low spot where the water is runnung to. Two possible points of the leak are the main door boot could have a tear in it or the drain pump could have a hole. It is possible to look inside of your machine while it is running. First I must warn you to take care and not touch anything inside while there is power to your machine. First open the door and you will see 2 screws on the left and 2 screws on the right sides. one pair of screwws will mount the hinges and the other set goes through a small triangular bit of metal. remove the screws and leave the door in place. The sides of the front panel between the door and edge of the machine will rotate outward slightly and the whole front panel will pull forward. at about 45 degrees the panel can be lifted off of the lower supports and placed out of the way. You will now be able to run the machine and observe exactly where the leak is coming from. Again all of the electrical connections you see are live when the machine is plugged in so do not reach inside of your machine.
