Maytag m6x06f2a like new but doest blow cold air

Make sure the Thermostat is set correctly! The problem with mine was the temp in the house was colder than my A/C lowest thermostat setting.I had my AC temp setting on 66 degrees. The temp in the house was a little lower so the AC didnt kick on just the fan blowing cool air and no compressor working. The next day it was warmer out and the house temp was 79. So when I powered up the AC set at 66 i heard the compressor kick in and the AC worked fine.

Trying to set thermal stat to cool

Look at the bottom of the T'stat or in the newer ones click menu and follow instructions to preset individual days or on some week and weekend if there is a switch at the bottom set it on the cool selection click the menu button if it has a next buttton then click it until it gets to the degrees and push the <or> button until you get to the temp you want it to be at and then click next until you have all the days programed to the temp you want it to stay at and when your finished push the done button if it has one and it should be programed for the cool side to set the heat set it to heat and do the same as you did on the cool part remember down for cool and up for heat on the degrees you set them on example if you set it 78 for the temp on cool and during the day you want it cooler set it to lower temp say76. if you set it 79 then it won't come back on until the temp is 79. Maybe this will help some programable t'stat are a little more complicated then this

No heat when stopped for traffic

1-your thermostate is stuck open half way. thermostate is a simple device that made of enlarging metals when heat is applied. it suposed to be in close position to allow engine heat up, when specified temp reached it opens and let it flow and radiator tries to keep coolant cool.when it is broken it stucks or it acts slow or it wont acts at all. in your situation it is stuck open half way. it allows enough water to be heated but flow is limited to heat cabin heater.

2-if there are cabin heater selenoid/selenoids for two different temperature for cabin left and right, on some instance those selenoid valves to adjust cabin heater stuck open or closed like thermostate acts on first case. so heat is not enough to heat up cabin heater.

My a/c in the 79 Chevy Malibu works, then stops. The next you turn it on the same thing.

The condensor might not do enough cooling of compressed refrigerant - this causes a high temp shutdown. Check if the condensor radiator isn't clogged.

Display shows "cool ** " I have never noticed two

the issue is most likely not with the thermostat, set the temp down to 65 degrees and listen for a click at the thermostat (it may not make any sound). go outside where the condensor fan is and look to see if the fan is spinning. if it is then the thermostat is probably ok. If you still are not getting anycool air and just warm air pumping out you may need to have someonne come and check the coolant level in your system. It may just need a recharge, but if you have lost coolant there may be a leak in your system. Alll that being said, you may need a licensed professional to come out and check your system

Replace coolant sensor an 2 cooling fan relays an fan motors an fans still wont come on when car reach certian temp

The cooling fans are designed to come on at about 215 degrees to 219 degrees, and I have seen them come on at 225 degrees, the engine is designed to average 232 degrees at the most,it may not be warm enough to come on the first time, but the thermostat,if stuck will prevent this also, and you need to bleed the air out of the cooling system.

Not cooling enough

I had the same problem and I discovered it was the defrost element that was shorted out which keeps the ice from building up located behind the back freezer wall.
