With the projector unplugged, turn the projector upside down & remove the bottom cover (NOTE the positioning of the cover screws, as one is different!). Near the center of the projector is the slide change mechanism camstack. Put on safety glasses & plug the projector in (WARNING: Hazardous Electrical contacts are now exposed!!!). Turn the projector on the the "FAN" position. Again, look @ the Camstack - it will be rotating continuously. In normal operation, one revolution equals one slide change cycle. extending from the hub of the camstack is a straight wire (clutch spring), which rotates with the camstack. Above that wire is a similar-diameter "J"-shaped wire (clutch contact). The clutch contact should capture the clutch spring after one revolution. Most likely what has happened is that there is either a small groove worn in the clutch contact, or the tip of the clutch spring has worn off. An adjustment needs to be made so that the clutch contact JUST catches the clutch spring. This can be accomplished by GENTLY re-forming the clutch contact so that it stops the clutch spring after one revolution. The adjustment should be made with the projector UNPLUGGED, then plug it back in to test & repeat as necessary.
If this helps you, please respond to FixYa with positive feedback. I would appreciate it !!
If you need more help, please re-post any clarifying questions!! THANKS, and good luck !!

My Kodak Carousel 750H slide projector will not forward next slide or reverse

Your projector problem sounds like a broken cycle solenoid LINK. The LINK will be available from: www.micro-tools.com
They should have installation instructions, as well. See the attached picture for more details. Good Luck!! Jim

Slide drops down but pops back up in Kodak carousel 750h

Sounds like what you are describing is "continuous cycle". If it is, then this can usually be fixed with a fairly quick adjustment. Once the bottom is off the projector, locate the clutch spring / clutch contact. The tip of the clutch spring (spring sticking straight out of the camstack hub) should be just visable over the clutch spring (the "L"-shaped spring contact). If bending is necessary to achieve a normal cycle, BEND CAREFULLY!! The springs are old and brittle!!.

Kodak carousel 750H will advance, but the slide drops down and then pops right back up so you don't get a chance to see the picture. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You are experiencing a condition called "continuous cycle". This is usually caused by excessive wear. To attempt a fix, unplug the projector from the power source. Turn the projector upside down & remove the 4 screws & elevation foot that secure the bottom cover in place. Near the center of the slide change mechanism is the clutch contacts (look for the hub at the end of the camstack). One is a straight, small diameter wire protruding out of the hub. The other is a "L"-shaped wire (the same diameter) that SHOULD capture the straight wire. The wire is captured and the cycle is complete. What has happened is one of those 2 contacts has worn, allowing camstack to constantly rotate, causing a continuous cycle. You must GENTLY re-form one or both of those contacts just enough so that the straight contact is captured by the "L"-shaped contact at the end of the cycle. Good luck !!

When remote button is pushed the unit will not cycle unit is jammed kodak carousel 750h

The projector may not be jammed. It is very common in this generation of projectors for the cycle solenoid "link" to be broken. The "link" connects & transfers power from the cycle solenoid to the slide change mechanism. If this is the case, you can still get parts from: www.micro-tools.com
The problem now become this is a difficult repair if you have no experience inside a Kodak Slide Projector. My advice is to contact a factory trained repair dealer with this information (although it very well may be cheaper and faster to buy a used projector on the internet !). Good Luck !!

Kodak 750h Projector - The Carousel won't advance when the level is pushed?

If the projector fails to change slides in forward or reverse, then chances are that your projector has a broken cycle solenoid link. The link connects the slide change (cycle) solenoid to the slide change mechanism. Over time the link (made of plastic) gets brittle and cracks. The good news is parts are still available ( www.micro-tools.com) The bad news is this is a difficult repair and usually requires a service manual and a factory-trained repair dealer. Good Luck!!

The KODAK Carousel 750H uses a 300 watt, 120volt lamp with an ANSI code of "ELH". You can order "ELH" lamps from Bulbman (www.bulbman.com).

Focus Lense Will Not move using the remote or the dial - What can I do? Kodak Carosel model 750H

The KODAK Carousel 750H was manufactured from roughly 1971 to 1981.
If you can push the focus knob toward the outside of the projector and manually remove the lens, then the problem is the gear on the focus shaft (the shaft the focus knob turns). The gear has either cracked and fallen off or is cracked and slipping on the shaft. Either way, the focus shaft needs to be replaced by a factory-trained repair technician.

My kodak carousel slide projector model 750h will not operate in the forward position. What could be the problem and how much to repair?

If reverse and select modes work correctly, it could require a slight adjustment of the cycle solenoid or (worst case) it may be a broken spring on the slide tray advance lever. To pinpoint the cause of your problem, take your projector to a factory-trained repair dealer.
