Be sure to remove the stickers that are to be removed from the new ink cartridges, I just mention this as it does happen that they are some-times not removed and therefore cause this problem.
The next thing to check is to tell the printer that the ink cartridges have been replaced. This is done with the aid of the software that came with your printer.
Navigate to the Windows control panel and double click Printers and faxes.
Right click on your printer and select properties.
Now print a test page.
Consult the manual in this regard, if you do not have a manual for this printer check the Epson Website.
