MOI is a computer file format used primarily to represent information. MOI files are associated with MOD or TOD files whose content they represent. The Pixela ImageMixer Video Editing Software should allow you to save your videos to your hard drive. But you may need to install the latest version of Quicktime Player (free) to view the the .mov files as an alternative to the ImageMixer program's viewer. The reason why the camcorder wants you to connect the power when you are attempting to transfer files from that camcorder is because the camcorder does not know what you want to transfer - or how long it will take. If the battery runs out during the transfer, the video or still picture file could become corrupted - and you would never get that file - ever. So... when the camcorder provides information and directions, you should follow them. If you still cannot transfer, then repost your issue here......

    thanks.

Canon fs300 says card has been set for erasure prevention; won't let me record

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
If that doesn't do it, try another card.

How do i transfer pictures from my fs300 to my widows computer

Welcome to Fixya

To download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. Just drag&drop pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Where can find camcorder serial number canon FS300

Hi,

The Serial No. is usually located under the camera. It is visible without opening any flaps/cover.
If you lift the camera up ( like taking picture of the sky ) and while looking underside of the camera
The numbers are written on 3 lines with 4 digits each
eg:
0123
4567
8910

Regards,
Ron

IAM USING SONY CD..FOR TAKING PICTURES..AND NW .WHEN I WANNA COPY THE PICS IN MY PC..THE PICS R NOT GTNG DISPAYE??..WHAT CAN I DO TO VIEW THE PICS IN PC???

Hi,
camcorders will usually record videos in Tape/cd/dvd and the pictures will be saved on to a memory card, if available. So if your camcorder is having memory card then your pictures may be saved on to it. So remove the memory card from your camcorder, put it in any laptop card reader and transfer the pictures in it.
I hope this solution is useful to you.
Thanks
