If you mean is it easy to remove the turntable platter, it depends on the design. On many belt-drive and direct-drive models, the platter simply lifts up off the spindle. Others are held down by retainers (e-clips or circlips) that you must remove first. A few (not many, thankfully) need a bit of disassembly.

You didn't give the brand and model of your turntable so I can't give you any specific information. You can check this site to see if they have the service manual available. They have an extensive library covering many models. It's free to download the materials, but they require free registration. I have found it a very useful site.

Do you need a ground wire between the turntable and receiver? if so, where to attach to the turntable?

Well read your guide, instead of easy ask things, a phono output has a ground wire, and if your tt has a line output, just use a cd or aux input. If your amp doest have a line input and your turtable only has a phone and ground output, you need to buy first a phono amplifier and connect that output to a line input on onee of your amplfier.... The turntable is playing crooked. how can i re align it?

check the rubber bushing that support the turtable fom the bottom. if they are worn or poped off replace them. if it is the turntable itself and not the whole turntable assembly check the bushings that the turtable spins on for side to side play. if they are worn replace them.

Have a Sansui compu edit p-m70 turtable. I turn

Lift off the turntable mat and the platter. Near the tone-arm, remove two screws holding down a panel and then inspect the tonearm belt. They wear out and stretch out and this could be the problem. Replacement is easy and does not require any special tools or further dissasembly.

Lock light indicates that turntable platter speed has reached correct speed.

I have a Sharp VZ 2500. The drive belt lies in pieces at the bottom of the player, so I can assume it needs replacing. I've bought the belt, but have no idea where it goes. Can you help?

you have to remove the front cover first. then detach the two wire connectors attached to the turntable circutry. Also detach the pushbutton pannel. remove the two screws that fix the top plastic cover inside the turtable housing. then the two big screws that fix the turntable to the main body will be visible. remove them and you can detach the turtable unit out. then remove the circuit board behind the turntable. you can then put the belt between the big disc and the motor pulley on the corner. Good luck
