Question about Futaba Toys

Open Question

I have a Futaba R603ff 2.4ghz Fasst 3 Ch Receiver that stopped working efficiently. The throttle servo cut out working and the steering hardly moved, then, when the throttle started working again, the speed was way slower than it should be and the steering was still not responding properly. When I try the same radio settings on another truck of similar design, the steering and throttle response are perfect. Is there a way to reset the receiver ?

SOURCE: Technics SA GX130D receiver amp keeps cutting out

This is either due to heating problems or You may need a new power unit inside.

Try having the amp out in the room so it has plenty of air, make sure nothing is blocking those vents

SOURCE: can't get new transmitter working on remote control car?

Double check that the crystals are in the correct parts of the radio gear. You should have one marked with T and that goes in the trasnmitter and one marked with an R and that goes in the receiver. Make sure that the batteries are fresh and that the aerial wire of the receiver isn't damaged.

SOURCE: hobbie tower wed page say that can work with 2 ch

You onky need one servo for steering as the esc does the power for you. You should get the basic Tamiya esc from tower. Something like this:

Setup instructions will be in the manual and with the ESC.

You can run straight power to the servo.. just make sure it's the correct or better lower power.. switch the wire from +/- will reverse the servo.

Steering servo makes hard rt turn without turning steering wheel. batteries are fully charged and all connections appear secure. can temporarily eliminate prob by turning transmitter off/on.

2 possible problems:
transmitter-The variable resistor inside your transmitter is stuck fully on. Take apart the transmitter - look for the part under the wheel. It should have a 3 wire variable resistor under there - check for broken wires shorting to the other side or simply broken solder joints.

2nd possible answer is the car has a shorted output drivers on the motor controller board.

hard to fix without a schematic.

Check servo saver to make sure it has not loosened up. If the servo is not trying to turn at all check the connection at the receiver. If it is okay, you can always switch the steering and throttle servos at the receiver to rule out the possibility of a faulty servo. They can fail if they get too wet or get hit hard enough.

Steering on a remote controled car not working

Check the servo saver to make sure it is not loose. You should be able to hear the servo move or try to move. If it does not make any noise when you turn the wheel on the controller open the receiver box and make sure that the steering servo has not come unplugged from the receiver. If these things check out the servo could possibly be bad. They can get damaged if they get wet or are hit hard enough.

have you got any expo dialled into the settings, this will delay or rather soften the response to your servos, the glitching you are getting may be due to you be close to the reciever and swamping the sinal hence the glitching, see if it goes when you walk away from the transmitter
