ThankQ for your reply. All are mp3 files only ..... I was replaced that particular folder in root path.... my home theater reading and playing those file also. But I didn't find the case for not playing in that particular folder (i.e. \Music\Telugu\2000-2010\A to D).

If some of the files came from music services like iTunes or a Windows Media store, they will be in formats other than MP3 and will not be visible on an MP3 playing device.

Are they surely all MP3 files?

ThankQ for your reply. All files are MP3 files only. I was replaced that particular folder to my root directory. Now its working (previously it is under \Music\Telugu\2000 to 2010\ A to D). But I didn't find what is the exact problem?

Some devices have a path or directory size limit. By making a shorter path, you are working around the problem. Were only file names that were very long excluded?

My os system is windows7 home i have a verbatim model #is320 usb i would like to un partition this drive make it one drive for my music files thank you

i don't think if we could do it using a third party application, this might put your files in risk. best thing we have to do is to back up all your files and do a reformat. and reinstall windows again. for safety purposes.

That's a good one :). Basically, I believe it's complaining about the path of the file, not necessarily the name. To backup your files here's what I'd do:

1. Grab the files you want to grab.
2. Make a folder on the root of the laptop called "backup".
3. Move/Copy the files you wish to backup into this folder.

This may work because the other path would be something like

c:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop\folder\folder2\myfile.pdf

or for Windows 7

c:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\My Media\Music\artist\album\track1.m4a (for example...see where the issue lies?)

Download a program called "Unlocker" and use that to see whether your folders are locked, and this will let you unlock them so you can delete them :)

you can cut and paste or just copy the media to the external hard drive. and copy it back if the data is ever lost from your computer, also you can have iTunes use the external hard drive to get media from. So you can free up valuable space on your pc's hard drive by just cut and pasting the iTunes folder to it.

You have to partition your Verbatim Drive to work on a Mac. Go to Macintosh HD / Applications / Utilities / Disk Utility. When in Disk Utility select the 232.9 GB SAMSUNG HM250HI Media to the left.

I am a novice on these things I want to use my portable hard drive as a back up for my Imac I connect the cable to unit one end to computer and where do I connect other cable piece? to the modem?

The portable hard drive's cable is connected to the computer's USB port (socket). The computer will see this as an external hard drive. You can open and create a folder on this hard drive and copies the files such as music, data etc from the computer to the portable drive.
