It sounds like a power issue. Please unplug the player, wait one minute and then plug it back in. If the player does not respond then check the power connections - make sure the powere cord is properly installed and pluged into a live outlet.

If this does not clear up the problem please post details of the manufacturer and model number, as well as information on any lights of other indications on the unit when the power button is pressed.

Bob Headrick

Lets try to diagnose the first problem first. Usually there is a small pin hole on the front of the dvd player to eject it. If you can't find one, the next easiest option is to unplug it and plug it back in and then trying to eject it. If that doesn't work, then the motor to eject it or some other wire may have broken or become loose. You will need to unplug the unit and then start taking off the outer panel to get to the motor and dvd. It is pretty basic, phillips screws on the outside and basically everywhere holding everything together. Check the operation of the motor and whether a belt came off track or if a gear is out of alignment. If everything looks fine, check for power on the motor wires with a meter while trying to eject the disc. If there is power, replace the motor with a new one from an electronics store such as Radio Shack. If there is no power, trace the wires back until you find the problem basically. I'd bet it is the motor though. let me know if you have any questions or need any more help.

my best to you

I would like the multi zone code for a samsung V6800 dvd

Make sure the player is switched on, and is at the Samsung logo
screen. Also check the tray is shut and that there's no disc in the
player.

Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit
code. This code is different depending on what region your player is
*currently* set to:

R1 - 29334
R2 - 38767
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

So for example if you have an R2 player, press REPEAT-3-8-7-6-7.

If you've done this correctly (and your player is compatible with the
hack), you should see a number at the top left corner of the screen
corresponding to the current region.

Now, pressing any number from 1 to 6 will change to the corresponding
region. Or, press 9 for auto-region mode.

Next, press OPEN/CLOSE to open the tray, followed by Standby (or DVD
POWER) on the remote to close it and put the player into Standby mode.
The next time you turn your player on, the new region will be set.

Don't forget that if you want to hack it again, you'll need to use a
different code, as listed above. If it's currently set to region 9,
use the code for the last *proper* region you set it to.

Hi,

Could you please give me the brand and model of your unit so I can further assist you. Thank you.

Unit on standby mode only, the dvd rack didnt open when open button was pressed.

Turn off and unplug at mains Plug back in and turn on press standby button so power light come son. If pressing open button on player (rather than remote) doesn't work it may be a disk that is not sitting properly in the tray. You could try sliding a very thin blade (preferably something with an insulated handle!) gently in the top of the tray to press the disk downwards whilst gently prising under front edge of the tray with a small screwdriver. If you can manage to press the open button at the same time as doing both these things it may help.
If that fails to solve the problem it may be a broken drive belt or worn cogs in the tray operating mechanism. DVD players are so cheap these days that repair is seldom worth the expense.

Locked DVD Tray

I'm pretty sure the force disk eject is the same across all Panasonic models - however I couldn't find anything specific for your model number. Still worth a shot, though.

With the unit in standby, press and hold the 'Stop' and 'Ch up' buttons together. It should power up and force the tray open. If this doesn't work, try changing up your timing by pressing and holding 'Stop' first, then a half-second later, press and hold 'Ch up' and keep them both held together. You can also try the opposite.

If none of these work, it will have to be taken apart to get the disc out. If you aren't comfortable trying, it will have to go to service.
