SOURCE: my acer aspire processor will
Hi:
That happened to me also, I have an acer aspire. You need to do the following:
First format an USB flash drive with FAT. It does not need to be bootable.
Download the latest BIOS, http://macles.blogspot.com/p/acer-aspire-one-bios.html
and extract all files. Put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file with FD suffix in the root directory of the flash drive. The files must not be in a folder. Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD before proceeding. It only works with this exact file name.
Turn the AA1 off, and verify both battery and AC adapter are plugged in.
Press Fn and Esc simultaneously, keep them pressed and press the power button. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds. The power button starts blinking at this point. Press it once. The AA1 will now access the files on the flash drive and initiate flashing the BIOS. After a while the power button stops blinking, and the AA1 reboots by itself. Wait patiently.
If it doesn't reboot, but keeps blinking, wait at least a few minutes before turning it off, and try again.
Good Luck and if this was useful to you please vote. Thanks.
SOURCE: monitor goes black
Sorry to have to tell you this, but this is common in LCD monitors. The reason that it is going black when it boots is for one of two reasons. You either have a bad power supply that powers your LCD or your LCD's backlight is blown. These can be repaired or you can purchase a new one. But if it goes black 9 times out of 10 is because the backlight is bad. These can be repaired!

Dear Friend:
There is a Switch transistor to power on -off the hi voltaje for lights. Check 15V from power source go to this transistor colector, Using soldering Iron, make a juntion between colector and emiter, to short 15V to Hi voltaje power. I´m fixing 10 monitor the same trouble. I will remove a liter transistor.
Late I will post here the driver transistor number, and the replace number transistor I will use.
Pictures , etc. Best Regard

Turn off the laptop. Remove battery, unplug power cord. Press and hold on button for 20 seconds. Put battery back in and plug in and turn on. Should resolve the issue. If it continues to happen you need to call for service.
