SOURCE: 2 12/2AWG = 1 10/3AWG

yes, with a double run of 12-2w/ground you'll end up with 2pairs of 12 for your 2 hot phases(you will need to mark one pair red to substantiate the 2 different phases) and each 12 gauge wire will carry 20 amp each alone, then you'll have 2 pairs of 12 with white insulation white for neutral is fine but the other pair for the safety ground will need to be marked or painted green where ever visible per N.E.C. i.e. main panel or dryer receptacle or hardwired into the unit itself, use 10-3w/ground its cheaper in the long run and you dont have to run a doubleheader

for what they get at a repair versus a replacement you better start looking, it will cost you more just to get an estimate than a new unit will cost

SOURCE: How can the battery charger be changed?

Yes this is a very simple job to do. there are only 2 small bolts holding it in. Make sure the generator is in the off position and removed the 2- 5amp fuses in the transfer switch for N1 and N2 Use a fuse puller designed for this (you can get at home depot or lowes for around $9-$10) not a pair of pliers or screwdriver, etc... there is 240VAC on these fuses.. N1 and N2 are what ultimately feed the transformer in the generator which steps the voltage down to 24-26 VAC and feeds the battery charger. Other than that its fairly simple, let me know if you have any more questions.

How can I tell if my Dyson DC 35 cordless uses 220 volt as power supply to change battery. The one I purchased is advertised to do so. This is because I purchased it to use in the Philippines

Your devide should have the indications on electric input on a small plaque. Actually, it it's cordless, it works with a rechargable battery so most probably you should look at the charger unit. Probably it's 110/220V and has a swith somewhere,
Don't you have a user's manual?

Capacator in lower left corner is blown apart from an 220v generator connection.... where can i get a replacement capacator or board ?

The capacitors are industry standard items that can be cross referenced from the component markings, values, or part numbers referenced on the components through several national component suppliers such as Digikey, Mouser Electronics, or Newark Electronics. If a single bulk capacitor has blown, both should be replaced as the other will have been stressed and should not be trusted to be functionally sound.

Charger faulty, no charging.

hi, Sounds like a dodgy charger , check for a fuse on the side that the leads go to the scooter... I offer a free testing service, you only pay the return postage...UK only... One thing check the fuse in the battery pack, the charger will not work if it does not see the battery voltage

Plugged 110v dishwasher into 220v

When you have a 220v outlet there are two wires that both supply 110volts, thus the 220volt rating. 110volts uses 1 wire that supply's 110 volts and the other wire is a "neutral" what is a non current carrying conductor. In other words there is no 110 volts on the second wire. Most of the time if you supply a 110 volt appliance with 220 volts you most definately fry something if not everything. Probably the main thing that blew was the control panel be it a computer board, dial switch etc. Sorry for the bad news but it might be cheaper to replace the unit than having it looked at and repaired

I accidentally plugged in epson nx110 to 110v when i shoudl have plugged it in 220v , burnt smell and no power at all

Not sure why it burnt going from 240 down to 110volts. The unit should not have worked. However, if it is a 110 volt machine and you plugged it into 240 volts... different story... At best you have blown the power supply board or board fuse.. At worst, the machine will be fried inside.

I have a 310v 3 phase coffe machine how can i use

Hello tonyludlow1,
I can speak from personal experience with 3 phase. I built a 220v 3phase converter to run my 3 phase commercial table saw. I do not believe you will have success running a 310v 3 phase coffee unit. It is likely that the heating elements are set for 310v, and if you run it on 220v domestic wiring your heating elements would not heat optimally. If it could be done, you would need to rewire the electrics in the coffee unit to 220v. Sorry to be a downer. Positive feedback appreciated. Kind regards, NormanZ :o)

Battery Charging Problem

The problem is not with the batteris, but with your charger, you have to make sure it can take 220V or you will burn it. Look for a switch on it to change from 110V to 220V.

You can search any online auction site, electronics retailer, or wherever you like with this search term "110 220 adapter", and you should find plenty of inexpensive (less than $10.00 US shipped) travel converter/adapters that will fix you right up by converting a 220V outlet to 110Volts for your new laptop.

Good luck.
